Description: Framed Marquette Carbon X7 1X10 29er Boost Bike w/ RST F1RST Fork

The Marquette Carbon with BOOST technology has made a huge splash on the mountain bike scene this year.  A premium carbon frame with the ability to conform to a number of different wheel and rider positions makes this a top choice for riders looking for one of the most versatile and capable hardtails on the market.  That versatility is amplified in this 29er model.  This bike comes alive with 29er wheels, using a tubeless ready WTB rim built to SRAM BOOST hubs.

29ers = SPEED - Tire and wheel size technology has vastly improved over the past eight years.  As trail builders created incredible singletrack littered with roots, sawtooth rock gardens, and menacing technical climbs riders begged for a better way to negotiate the increasingly aggressive terrain without sacrificing speed and agility.  Enter 29" wheels and tires.  A 29" tire travels further for every crank rotation than a 26" or 27.5" tire.  A 29" tire also creates a wider angle when rolling over obstacles than a 26" or 27.5" tire.  This means the tire sacrifices less speed when it makes contact with the obstacle because it is rolling forward over it instead of deflecting up and into the obstacle, as with a smaller tire. This allows the riders to roll up and over an obstacle while carrying more speed forward, sacrificing less speed at the point of contact with the obstacle.  While climbing, a 29" tire allows the rider to cover more ground with less pedal strokes, making short work of the longest climbs.

SRAM Components - This bike is spec'd with a workhorse load SRAM drivetrain, braking, and suspension components.  The drivetrain is a 1x10 system utilizing a GX crankset, X7 rear derailleur, and X7 shifters.  That blend of mountain killing components is sure to have you shifting clean through the gnarliest trail.  The front end is equipped with a RST F1RST 120mm BOOST solo air, making this bike ready for the big hit or the big marathon ride.  SRAM Level hydraulic brakes give you the exact stopping power when you need when you're twisting through endless switchbacks and hairpin turns.

A great addition to this bike is a second 27.5+ wheelset for when you're feeling out new trails, riding looser terrain, or just need to slow down and get a little dose of fat.  Bottom line, the Framed Marquette Carbon is you all season weapon of choice.

Solid Bike!
A gorgeous carbon-fiber frame, respectable specs and components, and a fair price tag make the Framed Marquette bike a solid choice for riders looking to dabble in the world of plus-size mountain bikes. The hardtail, plus-size 27.5 mountain bike is the best value we’ve seen in its category, which is no surprise to us. The Framed Marquette’s biggest asset is its great-looking frame, with sweeping seat-stays and a massive bottom-bracket. The bottom line is that although we don’t love hard-tail plus-bikes, at $1,700 this one is the best value we’ve seen. Ride it about anywhere and this bike will abide.
