Good bike for the price.
This was one of the models on my 15 year old's "short list" of bmx bikes. Not knowing how much he was going to ride it, I didn't want to buy the $80 big box store bike, but also didn't want to shell out $300+ for something that would be set aside after a couple of weeks.

The bike shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. It took less than 45 minutes on Christmas morning to assemble and check the tire pressure. A day or so later I readjusted the brake and adjusted the headset bearings. So far, so good - towards the end of this month I'll go through and check / repack the bearings with some good Park grease and should be good to go for a while.

The comments about "this bicycle is only good for kids" are correct. As advertised, it's a small framed BMX bike for doing tricks and goofing around on. If I had to nit-pick - the seat is kind of flimsy, but again this is not a $500 bicycle...

If you're an adult that wants some thing more rideable / usable I'd suggest a mountain bike with slicks on it if you're going to be riding around time. Otherwise, I do think this is a decent deal. Better yet, get your kid this bike and a book on how to maintain it and put them on the patch of cycling for a lifetime.

Something for me to ride with my daughter (6yo) that puts me lower to the ground than my road bike, and it isn't from Wal-Mart. I'm 6' and this is a good price for what I need. No heavy BMX tricks for me; however it has style and I can mod it if I want because i didn't spend a lot on the machine itself. Thank you for such a great price.

U think this would be good for a 13 year old boy like me?
A shopper on Oct 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi,
It depends a little on your height. The XL version of this bike is intended for someone a little taller.... like 5'10 to 6'. Most likely a standard 20" bmx bike with a 20.5" top tube will be good for you: http://www.the-house.com/qfrattp20rnf16zz-framed-bmx-bikes.html
Does this have a 21 or a 20 in top tube?
Max D on Jun 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Max,
I apologize. The Impact XL has a 21" toptube. I will review and fix this information... thanks for pointing this out.
Does it come with pegs?
A shopper on Aug 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi,
The Impact XL is compatible to pegs, but will not come with them.
Could u put pegs on it ?
A shopper on Mar 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Dont see why not.... Just make sure they match the thread of your axles. (I don't remember if the bike has 14mm or 3/8" threaded axles, maybe someone can help with this if you need to know pre-purchase.)
I'm 6'2 200 anything I can ride?
A shopper on Mar 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm 5'10 almost 200... The frame is a little smaller than I expected but it suits me just fine. Just beware with your size it's not a bike you can sit on a cruise around comfortably. I bought the bike because it was cheap, and the biggest one I could find at a reasonable price. Just couldn't justify spending 3 to 400 on the bike just really yet

Would this bike be good for a 9 yo boy?
dnewt on Nov 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Debbie,
I really cannot size a bike by a riders age.... that said, my assumption is that it will be too big. If he is under 5ft this is the best option: http://www.the-house.com/qfrimp18bw17zz-framed-bmx-bikes.html and if he is a little taller he can ride the standard 20" BMX bike: http://www.the-house.com/qfrimp20bkra16zz-framed-bmx-bikess.html
Does this bike have holes pre-drilled for gyro tabs to be attached?
Greyson N on Oct 23, 2017

Would this be a good bike for a person that is 5'4?
A shopper on Sep 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi,
The XL version of the Impact BMX bike (21") is designed for someone a little taller.... 5'10" to 6'. At 5'4" a standard 20" BMX bike will be the best choice: http://www.the-house.com/qfrattp20rnf16zz-framed-bmx-bikes.html
Do you guys have a 20 inch tube for the same color?
Rafsi on Aug 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Straight to the point. The bikes great. If the cranks where metal and came with at least one front peg and back peg with the adapter it would be awesome but. Like i said its a really good bike i have no problems. Well actually just tge crank wasnt strong enough to hold my weight so i bent it on my first 3 stair but yeah. You know where im at with my opinion
Does it have a kickstand?
Daddy on Aug 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Good Day Waylon,
It does not. Most any BMX bike you will find will not come with a kickstand..... it adds weight and bulk. It is possible for you to add one later though.
I want to replace the sprocket with a smaller one but don't know how to do it with this frame. Any advice?
Reborn on Jul 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Cam,
Down sizing your sprocket without matching the rear freewheel will result in slower top end speed.
I suggest bringing it to a local dealer for the install because it will require a couple of specialty tools. As a result.... I recommend you have a chat with our bike shop: 1 (800) 409-7669. They can give you further info.
Does this bike have gyro tabs on it?

BEST ANSWER: Hi,
The Impact XL is a fairly simple entry level BMX bike that will be great for cruising the streets and learning basic tricks with. For more aggressive riding and jumps I would go with this: https://www.the-house.com/qfrattp20rnf16zz-framed-bmx-bikes.html or https://www.the-house.com/qfrattx20bkyl16zz-framed-bmx-bikes.html

Our bike shop says 40psi.
is it a freecoaster or casette wheel?
A shopper on Nov 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi,
This bike uses a freewheel... more like a cassette hub.
Free coaster or cassett?
Paisa on Nov 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Bryan,
The Impact uses what is basically a cassette hub. It is not a free coaster.
Are the bikes shipped put together?
A shopper on Oct 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi!
These bikes will be shipped 3/4 assembled. There will be some finish assembly required, and more importantly, the components will need alignment. As a result Framed states that the bike should be built up by a qualified tech.... failure to do so can void the warranty.

Would this bike be suitable for somebody 6'5 of a slender build?
KaylaRod on Sep 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Good Day Kayla,
The XL version of the Impact is indeed designed for slightly taller people, but at 6'5" any 20" BMX bike will be quite cramped. A 24" BigMX bike might be a more comfortable option: http://www.the-house.com/big-mx-bikes.html
