Description: Framed Impact 16 BMX Bike - Kids, Youth

The Framed Impact 16 BMX Bike is a serious little package for the ambitious little rider. This bike boasts all the features you'd find on a pro-model BMX bike, but smaller. It is rolling on 16" wheels with steel spokes and alloy rims for a ride anyone can enjoy. Resin plastic pedals are light and grippy so you won't slip as you try to bust out some tricks. You won't miss slammin' down the coaster brake and skidding like you did on your old bike because the lever-operated U-brakes on this machine are awesome. Now you can skid to a stop while you pedal backward!

Great pro level 16in bike
This is a fantastic option for a pro style freestyle bike to get your little guy or girl started. One of few options in 16" with a handbrake, NOT a pedal brake like many box store bikes.
This feature is critical in learning to ride early at a challenging level and coast backwards on tricks such as fakie's.
Love the bike.

awsome bike for a great price
love seeing my 4 year old race around the street on this bike. he looks like such a little stud. i was able to loosen the hand break and move it closer to the handle bar for his little hands to grab on to. would definitely recommend this bike for a little one.

Such a great value!
Besides the fact that this item was backordered an additional month beyond what was stated at the time of purchase, I couldn't be happier with this purchase! This was a bike for my 3 1/2 year old and it is just as nice as his brother's big name bmx bike! My boys never liked using the foot break form his starter bike anyway so I love the hand break! He figured out how to use it easily with just a reminder. Love this bike!

Perfect for the price. 5 year old twin boys... needed the up grade and had to be light enough and have hand breaks...easy to assemble, excellent quality. boys zipped down a 2 mile long ride Christmas afternoon. Only wish they came in more than 1 color. Had to customize with decals...oh and The House sent 2 sets of freebies... extra treat!

Fantastic price for a top brand BMX bike, and No coaster brake. My 4 year old is just moving from a Strider to his first BMX bike and after going to Toys R US to check which size fit him best(16") we saw this online and jumped on it right away! The House has always had good prices and customer service, so they have our business.
Jason S on Apr 29, 2015

Does the bike come with training wheels?
A shopper on Mar 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Does not come with training wheels. Has oversize axles. Welded 5/8" washers to a set of spring steel training wheels. Worked great.
Can I get training wheels for this? It's going to be my son's 3rd birthday gift. he doesn't know how to ride yet but he's super tall.
A shopper on Sep 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought 2 of them one for my son and one for my daughter 5 and 6 years old they are race bikes and very long pedals my son does fine because he stands up to ride but my daughter sits down so her knees are in her chest and it makes it hard to start out just something to think about.Yes looking at the bikes you should be able to put training wheels on
Spec shows 175mm cranks, which I assume is probably wrong. Do we know what the actual crank length is?
A shopper on Aug 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi!
You are correct... that spec is wrong. I contacted the Framed guys, and they are going to get me an updated list of specs. It will be something more like a 160mm. I apologize for the error, and thanks for catching it.
The weight is listed as 20 lbs. Is this accurate?
A shopper on Sep 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Note that it is a kids/youth bike.
How to get a bmx bike?
Grandma on May 14, 2015

Elaborate on your question.. and I can help. You can buy one of our bikes through the mail or in our store.
My son is 4 years old at 41". Is this bike to big?
Adam D on Nov 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: definitely to big right now just because of the stretch but might work with seat all the way down and handle bars adjusted. safety first though
Do they have any other colors besides white/blue??
Nina H on Nov 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Nina,
This is the only color of this exact version of the Framed Impact Bike, however, we do offer this youth version too: http://www.the-house.com/qfrimp18kbre14zz-framed-bmx-bikes.html
Pedal brakes?
andrew p on Oct 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No pedal brakes just a rear brake from a lever. And for what it's worth, it is adjustable for reach but still a stretch for my 6 year old.
Is this bike made in USA?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The Framed Impact is not made in the USA. All bikes made in the USA start at about $500 even though they use the same materials as china
We are looking for a bmx bike for our 7 year old boy any ideas?
Amanda K on Sep 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Dimitre,

The Framed Impact 16 BMX Bike is a great bike for a 7 year old! You could also check out the Dyno VFR 18 BMX Bike here too: http://www.the-house.com/qdyvfrk18bk14zz-dyno-bmx-bikes.html
Can you put training wheels to this framed bike?
Yami B on Jul 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Yami,
You could put training wheels on this 16" Impact from Framed. No problem.
how long will it take to get to the location?
A shopper on Oct 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi,
That completely depends on where you live, and what method you choose. In the U.S. it will typically take 2-5 days (We are located up in Minnesota).
My son is 4 ft tall, is just starting, wondering if the impact 16in is the right size? Seems like its in range but wondering if he might be better with a micro bike. He's almost 7 but want to size by his height.
A shopper on Sep 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I actually think a 16" Impact may be about perfect. Know that BMX bikes feel a whole lot different that other types of bike when riding them.
Does this bike come with a chain guard? If not, is one available?
Epyx123 on Jul 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Nick,
This Framed Impact 16 BMX bike will not come with a chain guard. I think it is unlikely you will locate such a part for these simple BMX bikes.
We have a 20" b Thruster Rage GS12092. The chain guard is broke. Is there away to get a chain guard for this bike?
A shopper on Jun 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Good Day!
I believe the Thruster Rage bike is a Wal-Mart only product? Becuase of that... I am not totally sure what similar parts exist. I would first contact where ever you bought it, and see if they can hook you up. Second... you can try having a conversation with our bike shop to see what may work on your bike (they are good guys): 1 (800) 409-7669. I will leave your question available for others to respond to!
I ordered this bike 2 months ago it said back order til may 1st it is now June 1st any idea if I will get
This bike before summer is over or should I purchase a bike elsewhere?
Michael H on Jun 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hey Michael,
That is lame.... I apologize. I just spoke to Framed, and they guaranteed to me that the parts are here in the city, and the bikes are being built up (you are not the only one waiting on their bike). They will start going out by the end of the week. I am going to follow this for you.
