what is the difference between the XD and HG wheelsets?
A shopper on Sep 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Good Day,
The difference between these wheel sets is the driver body, which is what the cassette is attached to. HG stands for Hyperglide and is the predominant driver body style in the market. If you are using an 8, 9, or 10 speed drivetrain on your bike you will undoubtedly use the HG style. XD indicates it is compatible with the SRAM XD driver system used on most of their 11 speed drivetrains. If you are unsure what you are using on your bike please call our customer service department at 800-409-7669.
Hi. It says that the wheelset are Tubeless compatible. What does it take to make them tubeless ready?
A shopper on Aug 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi,
To set these wheels up tubeless you will need tubeless tires, tubeless valve stems, tubeless tape installed, tubeless sealant, and a high volume output pump or compressor to seat the tire.
can these be built with aluminum nipples?
David L on May 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi David,
That is something that totally can be done, but they will not come like that stock. They will have brass nipples. For more details have a chat with our bike shop: 1 (800) 409-7669.
