Long Term Review
I have been riding the Carbon Alaskan frame since June of this year. I have found the frame to be nothing short of great. From the compliments I get as to riders really liking the looks, to the podiums I have gotten because of the performance of the frame- it's been a win all around. I have found the ride quality to be stiff for climbing, but have been comfortable on 4 hour rides because of the shock dampening. I ride a mix of technical singletrack and 2 track fire roads and have the geometry totally dialed in. Its responsive and nimble with either the 4" fatbike wheels or the 29+ wheels. I weighed the frame only when it came in at 1615g. I run the frame fully rigid with the Framed AK carbon fork and a SRAM 1x11 X1 drivetrain. Its great that you can order this a la carte from The-House and build it up exactly how you want... for snow, sand, gravel roads, bikepacking, singletrack, or all of it.

They will not.
When will you get the 2016 Framed Alaskan Carbon in white in the 19in size?
Joey I on Nov 8, 2015
I just chatted with the Framed guys, and it sounds like it will be about a week. They are absolutely on their way I guess. Sorry too delay you.
Do the axles come with the carbon frame and fork?
A shopper on Jan 18, 2018
From our bike shop: "It does not. If the customer calls the order in we can sell him the frame kit or fork kit that will come with the thru axle."
What's the difference between this alaskan carbon frame and the baby blue one that's listed on this website for about a $100 cheaper?
A shopper on Dec 9, 2020
BEST ANSWER: They are very similar, the Blue is actually the new version. This black one popped up in inventory the other day but the price is wrong. The price should be updated by tomorrow and if you fit the 19" frame grab it right away because it will be cheaper than the blue one!!!!!
Can this frame handle an electric kit, MId Drive?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2020
BEST ANSWER: You could try but we don't recommend it. Wasnt designed for that.
Will my parts from my RSD The Mayor fit this frame?
Michael B on Mar 20, 2018
Some of the parts may transfer over well but others may not work at all. For example, rear thru axles are usually specific to the frame, so you will need an Alaskan Carbon rear thru axle. The nheadset may not fit either. Depending on the crank you're using, that may be another part with compatibility issues. Transferring parts from one bike to a different bike is rarely a seamless process do to few compatibility standards in the cycling industry.
Can i switch out this for my minnesota 3.0 in short will the work?
joseph on Jan 14, 2017
From Framed: "Some parts will be compatible between the two bikes but not all parts will transfer. There will be many additional parts needed to successfully make the change."
does the frame include the bottom bracket on the Alaskan Carbon?
A shopper on Mar 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Bottom bracket is something that is specific to the crank that you buy. The bike does have threaded BB cups for the frame which is manufactured into the frame for a bottom bracket baring set to be threaded into.
Noticed that it's 197mm in the rear but the BB is only 100mm, won't that cause a heavy load on the chain?
if you're running 1x11. Usually you see a 120mm BB for a 197mm rear spacing
A shopper on Nov 19, 2015
I chatted with our guys that work with Framed. According to them the 100mm spacing is the frame itself, but the bb bearing and cup actually move the spacing out to the correct point.... approx 10mm on each side.
