Description: Alaskan Carbon X1 1 X 11 w/ Bluto Fork Fat Bike

Remember that superhero sensation you felt riding your bike as a kid? Those days where personal exploration and freedom of expression culminated into a sense of self-fulfillment unmatched by most experiences. The Alaskan Carbon X1 Fat Bike strips away the mundane, responsible pavement commuter and transports you back into that magical adolescent world of exploration. Climb and descend faster than a speeding bullet; roll over features like a locomotive; and slay berms like a tracking grizzly. So put your cape back on and leave the skinny tires to the real-lifers.

Framed will change your way of biking! The Alaskan’s stiff, lightweight frame, monster tires and raid recovering Bluto fork give you the confidence to attack and conquer terrain and conditions you never thought possible. It will be your Swiss Army knife of bikes.

The Alaskan X1 runs 80mm rims to allow quick, easy and well-performing transitions from 4” tires to 4.7”, rather than needing different rims for each size. The Alaskan Carbon is also available in the X7 model.

The 17” carbon frame with derailleur hanger weighs 1460g.

* Please note the production bike will have matching anodized hubs.

RockShox Bluto RL 100mm Bike Fork
RockShox started with the features you’ve come to love: fast black aluminum upper tubes, stout 15mm Maxle or crown adjustable damping, tapered steerer tube and the infinitely tunable Solo Air spring. The chassis received the fat treatment by reengineering it to meet the unique needs of fat tires and wheels. Everything from crown to axle has been optimized to tackle the increased torsional loads of its wide stance. With more traction and control than ever before, you’ll never be happier you went fat.

RockShox prints Air Guides on all of our air-sprung forks. Maybe not a technological feat, but it will help you set up your suspension in seconds instead of minutes. And more time on your bike equals more chances to earn King of the Mountain on your favorite trail. Maybe it is a technological feat.

Can anyone tell me what the distance from the center of the pedal hole in the crank to the ground measures? In other words I am looking for ground clearance regarding pedal strike.
Gregory M D on Sep 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Good Day!
Ok....2 measurements. 1st from the center hole in the crank to the floor is about 11.9"... a tic less than a foot. From the bottom of the pedal to the floor it is 4 3/4". Does that answer your question or am I wrong?
What is the difference between the X7 and X7 XWT?

I am new to your website and haven't purchased from you yet, but I am highly considering purchasing a framed fat bike. My question is....Are these bikes reduced as far as they will go or will there be even more fantastic deals/offers in the future such as for presidents holiday? thank you very much!
michael m on Feb 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Michael,

These Framed Alaskan Carbon X1 Fat Bike are usually sold out the second they arrive. It's very unlikely that the Alaskan Carbon will be discounted more.
I learned that the other fat bike manufacturer that came with the Bluto have a winter kit that supposed to make the Bluto good for riding below freezing temperature. Is this incorporated with the Alaskan Carbon bikes with Bluto as well?
Manuel O on Jan 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
I think what you are looking at is an aftermarket extended temperature seal kit for the Bluto... which is kinda cool. Our bikes are not equipped with it, but are completely compatible to it.
Are you able to ship to Australia?
Paul B on Dec 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hello Paul.
We are happy to ship to Australia! Take a look at our Australian Shipping page for more info: http://www.the-house.com/helpdesk/shipping-information/australian-shipping/
I too would rather have red rims/wheels instead of white. What is the additional charge for red rims?
A shopper on Dec 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
If you place your order by calling us you can request the color of you rims.
What if the bike is too small for my size (I am on the cusp of a 17" or 19" FA-Carbon X1 model) & what is your exchange policy to obtain a larger frame bike? (We have no stores in Florida that carry this bike.) I ordered a 17", but now I don't know if this was the correct size.
Daniel W on Dec 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Good Day!
Within 30 days of the purchase of your order, you may return any product purchased from The House unused and in its original condition for credit or exchange. Please check out http://www.the-house.com/helpdesk/returns-exchanges-backorders/ for more details. I think the 17" will best for you though.
The Alaskan Alloy has been weighed at ~31.5-31.9 pounds with the 4" tires and carbon fork. That puts the Alaskan Alloy at ~34.0-34.4 pounds with the Bluto (which weighs ~2.5 pounds more than the carbon fork). Is the Alaskan Carbon X1 with Bluto still expected to come in at ~30 pounds? That's listed in the description, but seems too lightweight compared to the Alaskan Alloy.
deslock on Dec 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Adam,
This is a fair question, but Framed confirmed that the Carbon X1 Bluto will be right near 30 pounds. You can inquire with them too: http://www.framedbikes.com/.
What color rims are coming with the full monte package? I saw a question someone else posted about red rims, where that is the color I requested. Also, is there the option to get spare derailleur hangers?
A shopper on Dec 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Good Day!
To request the Fully Monty package you will need to order it through our bike shop... as it is not yet available online. You will have the opportunity to request red, black, or white rims. We also do offer derailleur hangers. Bike Shop: 866-243-6932 or 1 (800) 409-7669.
Will my cc be charged at time of order or on ship date?
A shopper on Oct 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Shopper - The House charges cards on shipment
Hope that helps!
Can you order this with XT Brakes?
A shopper on Oct 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Shopper - nope
Hope that helps!
