are these a shell or are they insulated ?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They do have a liner with pretty thin insulation. I just skied Utah where temperatures were 0-15 degrees and I wore these with under armour base layer and I was warm.

a north face medium is equivalent to a waist size of 29-30
What is the difference between 5,000mm and 10,000mm? I need some pants for skiing and sledding. Will my legs get wet with 5,000? How necessary is 10,000?
Emily on Jan 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hey Emily. So these number are the waterproofing of the pant. Unless you really are paying attention, I don't think you'll be able to tell the difference. 10,000mm will definitely keep you dry. That isn't saying that 5,000mm won't. 10,000mm pants will just be built better with higher quality.
Are there any large sizes left ?

What is the difference between snowboard pants and ski pants?
Betty B on Sep 2, 2015
This use to be a bigger deal... when snowboarding was a younger industry. Now days the styles, materials, and shapes crossover both ways. 'Ski' Pants may flare a little more at the ankle to accommodate clunky boots. Beyond that, either works... just go with the style you like best!!
