Not half bad
These are not to bad of a pair of boots if that's what you want to call them. Went up to the north shore and walked through some of the attractions up there. They were comfortable most of the day with periodic breaks between travel, so not sure how comfortable they'd be for long periods of time but keep in mind this was my first outing with them and they're not broke in. I did not test the water capabilities with these so not sure how waterproof they are. I will recommend wear a longer pair of socks with these as the ankle support rubbed my skin raw around my ankle. I ordered an 11.5 and regularly wear an 11 as I heard to order a size or half a size larger. They seem narrow which is good for me as I have narrow feet. All and all not a bad pair of boots with some minor complaints, some insoles might be a good idea if you can get them to fit but they'll work for me for now.

Insole spongy when you press it meaning does it have a lot of support and not hard or thin?

BEST ANSWER: Very cushy feeling under foot while still giving lost of support due to the overlays and heel Cradle system. Kind of like crossing a hiking boot with a running shoe.
