Great Jacket
I was intrigued by the stretch down claim of this jacket. My plan was to use it for golf, since playing golf in the cold usually means many layers and many layers equals a lack of freedom of movement..

This jacket does stretch. I am kind of between sizes and opted for a bigger size (L) so I could have room to layer underneath. The body portion of the jacket is down and the smooth areas are another thin material that insulated extremely well.

The result is a jacket that stretches to move with you and is extremely warm, while also not making you aware you are wearing a down jacket. The sleeves do not stay connected to your arms when you move so it will slide. A jacket like the Mountain Hardware StertchDown DS jacket has arms that will stay put on your arms and the stretch allows you to move.

It is not that one is better or worse, they arm just different. For me, if the arms allow movement, I have to have a long sleeve baselayer on or colder air will hit me. The DS jacket can be worn on its own.

Both are fantastic jackets. Pay attention to the size chart so you know what you are getting. MH jackets are of great quality and a joy to own.
