After some unruly early season temps, Mother Nature finally gave us the go ahead to lead our first 2013 snowboarding bus trip of the season. On Saturday, January 19th, we took a seriously full house (or should I say full bus) up to Devil’s Head Resort for what turned out to be an awesome day of spring shred thanks to the random 40 degree day we had. The sun was out the majority of the day and no heavy layers were needed for this gorgeous Wisconsin day.

We loaded up the bus bright and early and headed north. After our quick stop in Schaumburg to pick up the suburb crew, we were on our way. By 9:30 we all had lift tickets in hand, got geared up, and headed to the lifts. Some of our favorite regular customers were on board along with Jess, Cody and Andrew from the shop and a couple of our good friends from the Burton Midwest Represent rep crew. Needless to say, it was going to be a killer day to ride.

After a full day of fun, it was time to head back to the bus and really get the party started. We’re not gonna lie, the bus ride itself is definitely a big part of the fun. Thanks to our friends over at Revolution Brewery, the beer was flowing  and the crowd was ready for some giveaways. We had goodies from great brands like Dragon, Vans, Burton, Bern, Neff and Never Summer (just to name a few..) and a ton of people left with some seriously awesome prizes. Then we headed straight to the shop for a nightcap of pizza and beer.

A big thank you to the crew at Windy City Ski and to all the shredders who made it out for our first trip of the season! If you missed out, don’t worry, we’ve got a trips coming up to Chestnut on February 2nd and February 17th. Round up some friends and join us for our next day trip adventure!
