FIAT has selected Chicago yoga and Standup Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga Instructor, Mary Lou Cerami, to represent the 2013 Fiat 500L Trekker, the newest vehicle in Fiat’s line-up in a video series produced by GrindTV.com
The Fiat 500L models are sporty, adventurous, and fun. Four men and two women were selected across the US from each major city to share their stories on camera with filming in Chicago set to start next week, July 29th.
“This is an incredible opportunity to share a window of my experiences with a broader audience, to show a glimpse of what moves me and what has brought me where I am today,” said Mary Lou.
GrindTV producers, affiliates of SUP Magazine, Surfer Magazine and other Grind Media sports publications will be filming Mary Lou on Lake Michigan teaching SUP Yoga and also teaching at her favorite yoga studios: Ganesha Yoga and Shanti Yoga Center for her popular Yoga Bootcamp and Indo board classes. She’ll be at many more locations around town, including taking a Trapeze class with New York of Trapeze, playing Acroyoga with Joe Yonek of Divine Flight and stopping in at Windward Boardshop.
Mary Lou has lived in Chicago her whole life, her physical pursuits started early as a fitness and climbing competitor to bodybuilding in her early twenties to eventually finding yoga more than 10 years ago. She began teaching yoga in 2006 and SUP Yoga in 2011. You can find her Sundays with Chicago Paddle Company at Hollywood beach at 9:30am and at Kayak Chicago’s Montrose beach location at noon all summer long.
According to Mary Lou – Yoga and Stand-up Paddle Boarding are the perfect compliment to each other. Whether you are a first-time paddler or seasoned athlete, practicing yoga on a standup paddleboard (SUP) will enhance your workout by developing balance, flexibility and achieve overall whole-body fitness.
Mary Lou is turning 40 next month – a huge milestone and something she hopes will motivate others to find their own inner challenge and try something new and fun. She plans to continue her path as teacher, lover of life and to dip her toe in all things that come her way.
