Whats up everybody? Welcome to the next episode of the “Roll Out”.
Wednesday June 4, Windward Boardshop is going to be co-sponsoring an event with the Chicago Paddle Company. It’s a little event we like to call the “Ladies SUP Season Kickoff” party. We’re going to be hosting this event for the ladies out there. We’re going to be showing off some of the new gear and boards and paddles that are going to be coming in for the 2014 season. We’re going to have some drinks, gonna have some food, going to have a lot of discounts going on as well as giveaways. You might win something. Slide through. Check out some new stuff. Be up on what’s hip on the SUP, ya dig?
So we’re going to kick it over here to Cody. Cody’s going to let us know what’s good with these new paddles we got in from Riviera. Cody
“Hey guys, Cody here. Today we’re looking at Riviera’s new all carbon paddles. As you might know Riviera is a stand up paddle board company, and they just release two new series of paddles. The first one is the “Artist” series. The “Artist” series is Riviera’s take on a more fun looking style paddle. They come in a variety of colors from polka dot, to tie dye, to leopard print. The other part of their series is the “Branch”. The “Branch” series are going to be the same 8.5 inch blades, but they come in a nice wood veneer wrap. Ranging from dark to light wood. These all carbon Riviera paddles come with an 8.5 inch blade. What that means is these are ideal for any style of paddling. From surf, to recreation, to race.”
Thanks Cody
Next week, X-Games. June 5 through the 8th. Going down in Austin, Texas. So the X-Games put together this video to thank the city of Austin, Texas for hosting them.
*video plays at super speed*
See I watched this video…I also thought, “where are the video gamers?” I thought the X-Games were going to have a video game tournament. Why don’t you have people like playing video games ya know? This video is serving three purposes. The first one is to thank the city of Austin for letting them do X-Games there. Two, it’s serving the purpose of showing people how extreme the X-Games are. But three, the thing they didn’t really anticipate is that you’re not showcasing any video games. You’re leaving that out. You totally said ‘oh this is a brand new thing we’re going to do and we’re going to embrace it. But do you include that into this edit? I don’t think so. Because that’s not extreme at all. I totally get it, it’s probably a good call.
And that wraps it up for this episode of the “Roll Out”. Thanks for joining us, and stay tuned for next time. Social media! Take us out!
