Making boards since ’97 and still rider owned, Landyachtz Longboards has been producing high quality boards at killer prices and the 2015 lineup is no exception. Brand new graphics, added sizes on some of their most popular boards and a wide range of prices to fit every riders budget. Here is a little list we put together of some of our favorites.
Step onto the future of freeride when you take a ride on the Landyachtz Time Machine Longboard. If you enjoy high speeds and hard carves, there is a good chance you will love this board. With angled drops and a slight W concave, your feet are locked into place and in perfect position to add power and control into your carves. The unique design of the Time Machine puts the riders feet as close to the trucks as possible for the ultimate in control and the ability to really drive this powerful ride. Don’t let the top mounted trucks fool you, the Time Machine has a nice, gradual drop that keeps the rider nice and low for added stability at higher speeds. The extra stiff deck can handle it when things get going fast while the overall shape is super comfortable to ride so the Time Machine is perfect for both every day cruising and fast, fun freeriding.
The reigning champ in the world of downhill boards is the one and only Landyachtz Evo Longboard. This low-down, mean, speed machine was created to bomb hills with ultimate stability and is the board that many pros trust for downhill races. Although the Evo is a top-mount board, the deck drops down super low which means stability at high speeds and easy ground reach for faster pushing. A high concave keeps your feet locked into place while the super stiff deck remains stable and supportive even in the gnarliest conditions. There is a reason the Evo has been around for so many years and is trusted by so many downhill beasts! When you are ready to step your speed up and really push your limits on your board, the Landyachtz Evo will be up for the challenge.
Hands down, the most requested board from Landyachtz, every season, is the crowd-favorite Switchblade Longboard. Available in 3 different sizes, this symmetrical freeride board is perfect for so many different kinds of riders. Beginners love this board because it’s stable and easy to ride, flat ground pushers like this board because it’s fast and fun to carve and the downhill crew will love the stiff and sturdy feel the drop-thru, drop-down deck provides. There are not many long boarders out there that would not enjoy a few pushes on the Switchblade. For the shape and overall quality of this board, the price is definitely a steal. No matter your skill level or where you want to take your riding, there’s a good chance the Landyachtz Switchblade can help you get there!

One of our favorite city cruisers is the one and only Landyachtz Dinghy Longboard . This mini ripper can roam the streets, carve on the boardwalk and even hit the backyard pools and fit in perfectly. Compact, tight turning and fun to ride, the Dinghy is a perfect addition to your quiver or can get the job done as your only board too. Easy to lug around if you need to jump on the train or bus but a soft enough wheel to handle crappy city streets or cracks in the sidewalk. Also great for beginners, the Dinghy can get you used to a smaller size deck without the harsh feel of hard, small skate wheels. More experienced skaters will enjoy the maneuverability while beginners can appreciate the smooth ride. Available in 6 different graphics so there is a perfect one for every type of shredder.

The final board on our list is a snappy little carving and cruising machine, known as the Landyachtz Mummy Longboard. The shortest board in the Freedom Series from Landyachtz, the Mummy is perfect for city cruising or commuting since it’s still short and light enough to pick up and carry when you need to. Two layers of fiberglass add strength and really snappy, poppy feel which is why this is such a great carving board, while the narrowed nose and tail help you avoid any wheelbite by offering plenty of clearance (even with larger size wheels). The Mummy has a low concave that feels super comfortable and the body shape is just wide enough to offer a stable platform for your stance. Beginners will enjoy this board’s comfortable feel and smooth ride while the seasoned rippers will appreciate the flex and snap of this fun little ride.
This is just a fraction of the lineup and some of our favorite picks for this year. Now get out there and start enjoying the summer!
