Holden, was founded in Portland Or. in 2002 by pro snowboarders Mikey LeBlanc and Scott Zergebel. Although Holden does not claim to be an eco-friendly company, they do make many strides to minimize their carbon footprint. Part of that effort involves using recycled fabrics and materials, some of which they make in house. One of the many great things about Holden is that not only do they make products that serve a purpose, such as waterproofing and breathability in their jackets and pants, they also take a very stylistic approach to their garments. They limit patterns, colors and designs to ultimately create a garment that in three years from now will still continue to look in style and fresh.
We’ve gone ahead and picked out a sample of some of our favorite pieces from the Winter 2013 Holden mens line that you can find in store or online at Windward today. Stay tuned for more Holden to roll in soon.
At first glance The Quick Dry Hoodie looks just like a regular hoodie. Oh but it’s so much more. The Quick Dry Hoodie again is another example of style and function. Wear it on the street or wear it on the mountain. The Quick Dry Hoodie is constructed of a technical-wicking french terry (science) which pulls moisture (stinky sweat) from your body to keep you dry (not gross). It’s designed to function as layering under your outerwear, and is wearable everyday as a go to item for any wardrobe. Oh and 6 out of 5 girls agree they love this hoodie on men.
The Shawl Collar Sweater is not just for the dapper gent. It’s perfect for the boy that wants to become a man. Or any guy that wants to add some serious steez to his arsenal. If you are not a baller but definitely want to look like one, or look like someone that actually owns books not just for the pictures then the Shawl Collar Sweater is the must have item for this season. Beard and confidence not included.
So there you have it. This is just a small sample of the 2013 line. Check out more of the collection here or in-store. Styles and quantities are limited so act fast!
