You can’t talk about Capita and what they’ve been up to this past year without mentioning the insane accomplishment that was opening The Mothership. A brand new, state of the art, 100% hydro-powered snowboard factory in beautiful Austria is where the boards are made and the facility is nothing short of amazing. If this is the first you’re hearing about this, click here to get all the details. When they were not busy designing the Mothership, Capita was killing it as usual as they prepared the 2017 lineup. Another killer collab with Volcom for your boy Pat Moore and a brand new model for the ladies – the Paradise – that is sure to turn heads this winter. Check out our little list below of our favorite Capita boards for winter ’17.
Mens Snowboard
Volcom x Pat Moore Snowboard
Embracing the good ‘ole days while infusing the tech of the future is exactly how Capita built the Volcom Pat Moore Pro board. With a true twin shape, radial sidecut and 100% camber profile, this board is straight out of 1997 and we love every bit of it. Other tech features we love include the dual Carbon Fiber Beams that run the length of the board for added power and pop, Dynaweave Fiberglass with a new plant based Evo resin for Earth-friendly strength and responsiveness, a wax-infused Enduro Base for a fast, durable ride and and new stainless steel inserts for a rust-free life of easy binding swaps. Sure she’s an all-mountain ride but this board will truly excel when she’s launching off big kickers and enjoying the freestyle side of things. If you learned to snowboard in the 90’s and want a board that feels just like you remember – minus the unnecessary heavy weight – then the Capita x Volcom Pat Moore Pro might just be the perfect board for you!

Big mountain capabilities with all-mountain versatility is what makes the Capita Mercury snowboard such a bad-a$$ ride. The Mercury shares some key tech with the Kazu pro model but has a much more versatile shape for the days that you spend just cruising groomers with the homies. For the big days – you will appreciate the Panda core that comes with 8 bamboo power rods for a highly stable, responsive flex, 4 engineered carbon arcs at the nose and tail that load this board up with an insane amount of pop and snap for powering thru powder or launching off natural terrain kickers while the the traditional Camber profile provides a precise carve and reliable ride. The Omega Mark II high speed base is one of Capita’s fastest bases, guaranteeing a fast, durable ride all season long and the new Dynaweave fiberglass mixes both biax and triax glassing for a stiff, snappy flex that gives the rider a lively carve and massive launching power. For the experienced shredder that wants big mountain tech mixed with all mountain readability – there is no better choice than the Capita Mercury.
