September 28th and 29th, 2012 marked the date for the 5th annual Battle of the Paddle at Dana Point in California. This event is the stand up paddle boarding race circuit’s equivalent to the super bowl. The full run of who’s who in SUP plus top brands like Riviera Paddlesurf and Rainbow Sandals represented the race in full effect for the 5th annual BOP.
This year set a record for the most people in a stand up paddle race ever with over 400 racers. Other highlights from the race include Danny Ching reclaiming his crown for his second BOP win on the mens side and Annabel Anderson taking the win for the ladies.
