2014 New Balance Numeric Shoes

In semi-recent and exciting shoe news, New Balance has made the jump into skateboarding. With a very solid team, (Arto Saari, PJ Ladd, Levi Brown and Tyler Surrey just to name a few), New Balance certainly came out swinging. With decades in the footwear game, their first shot at skate shoes is pretty damn impressive. They came to the table with some highly respected backing, being distributed by industry veteran Black Box. Working with brands like Zero, Mystery, Fallen and Slave, Black Box certainly knows their way around the skate world. With that kind of backing, they were sure to have something great in the works.

We just got their summer ’14 line in and we have to say they did a killer job. Clean lines, bold colors, great construction and a reputation to back it all up. Introducing, New Balance Numeric. NB#

New Balance Quincy

That classic, clean New Balance look worked into a slim, modern skate shoe is the New Balance Quincy. This stylish shoe isn’t all looks. The Quincy has a low profile cup sole for better board feel and great support, laser perforation and a mesh tongue for breathability. Plus, an EVA foam midsole adds impact protection. Another cool feature that this shoe offers is a one piece quarter panel and vamp construction, so there are no big seams which means fewer blowouts. For a super clean cut look, go for the black and grey option. You might even get let into the club by accident because the bouncer mistook these for fancy shoes.

New Balance Stratford

If you are looking for a low-profile, super slim and techy skate shoe, you may be looking for the New Balance Stratford. These TPU bonded genuine suede shoes are tough, lightweight, durable and might we say pretty darn good looking. Mesh panels for breathability, welded logos so there is minimal stitching and a molded EVA insole for great fit, cushioning and reduced weight. Some snazzy color options available so there is something for everyone.

New Balance Logan

New Balance got a little fancy with the stylish and technical Logan. The Logan is made up of an innovative foam compound called REVlite. This material provides responsiveness and durability of a foam 30% heavier, making this shoe super lightweight without sacrificing comfort or durability. Other cool features include a TPU bonded PU for durability, laser perforation and mesh tongue for breathability and an injection molded EVA insole for consistent fit and exceptional cushioning.

I've been immersed in the skate and snowboard industry since I was 15 years old and have learned so much along the way. I enjoy being on the other side of the counter now where I can share that knowledge and keep that next generation hyped on the activities that I love so much!
