Great for backpacking with a family
Great! Light weight, super easy to set up! We loved being able to look at the stars and moon through the mesh canopy. The smaller breakdown size of the tent poles is great for packing everything into my backpack, it even fit in my oldest son's backpack 65 L kelty coyote and at 14 years old he had no trouble with the weight it is so light. I love this tent and plan on giving it to our 3 boys and buying the dirt motel 3 for me and my wife, we don't need all the room that the dirt motel 4 has. I definitely recommend this tent to any small family that likes to hike and camp out.

Great Tent
Upgraded from our old Grand Mesa 2 with the addition of our daughter to our camping trips. The Dirt Motel is perfect for our current home here in Hawaii, as the plethora of mesh and the star gazing fly keep things breezy and cool. Easy and quick set up - we can't wait to keep taking this on new adventures!

Great tent for the price
This is a great light duty tent. Easy to set up and many convenient functions. Love the full visibility option for stargazing or scenery on clear days/ nights. So far no complaints.

Great tent, packs small, keeps you dry and is pretty breathable
Our first outing in this tent as a family with two little ones (7 & 4) we had a pretty large storm come through in the evening and we kept really dry. Things I like: - Lightweight, easy to pack back in the bag, materials feel high quality, ability to roll back the rain fly to dry out/air out during the day. The color coding made it really easy to put up. My 7 year old helped out and she was able to do most of it. Next time I'm going to see if she can set it up by herself! Things I think could be improved: - The zipper tends to catch the rain fly zipper cover on this tent more than any other tent I've had before. You need to be carefull when zipping/unzipping the rain fly. This could partially be because our last site didn't have great staking ground, it was loose, so the stakes pulled up. - I wish the interior pockets were just a little bit bigger
