I would not buy this product again
This is my second pair of this boot. The first lasted three years and a Great Dane. I wear these boots for hiking and just walking around because they are so comfortable and light. The reason I have giving it a two for the rating is because this second pair has not held up to the reputation this boot has received since it came on the market. The second pair has started separating at the sole and now my feet are getting wet. I have only had this pair for a month. I'm very disappointed in this boot. I wish I could take they back.

I really hope Keen isn't trying to save a penny while loosing the following if this great style boot. Please go back to the old glue or process.

Quality has gone downhill
My first pair lasted a hair longer than two years. They got me up and down mountains in Idaho and turned into my everyday shoe. I loved them so much I got them again, but they lasted one year. The third pair lasted only six months.
I didn't flinch at the thought of paying $130 for a pair of boots after the first pair lasted two years, were water-resistant, and provided excellent ankle support for hiking. Now it seems like a joke.

Boots fit great out of the box but soles came apart after 2 months of use. I read that customer service will not help so I did not even try. For the price they should have lasted longer.

Great fit out of the box, but...
First time with Keen. Almost all of the glued seams are failing. A bit of the sole got mysteriously removed (big toe adjacent) on both feet. Still weary of the plastic speed lace hooks on the upper. Mesh around the tongue is freying. Doesn't look like they'll make it through the year. Good lookin and comfortable, but wouldn't hike in them. Bought them in January, am already looking to replace them in June.

Great for about a year until the soles just fall off.
I have owned several pairs of Keens over the last 10+ years, but this might be my last pair. I purchased these a little over a year ago (Summer 2017) and wore them on plenty of hikes, and on snowy days to work. This is my first time buying a pair of Keen boots, and maybe I just got a bad batch but late this summer I noticed the sole starting to peel away. No big deal right? Well it just kept getting worse, and not the entire sole is almost off. These haven't seen any chemicals, or seen heavy daily use. I get it that these aren't top of the line hiking boots but I would have hoped they would hold up for longer than a year.

Vermont and from Alaska to Labrador; great boots.
Light and wonderfully comfortable yet sufficiently rugged; I have used them on Vermont's Long Trail and on canoe expeditions in Alaska and northern Canada. The last was a six-week expedition from Hudson Bay to Ungava Bay on a route with long, unmarked, and very rough portages. I used the Keens for in camp, hiking, and portaging (NRS Workboots in the canoe). They were welcome refuges for my feet after a day of challenging whitewater and reliably secure protection through the rocks, bogs, and brush of long, rough carries (OR knee-high Gor-tex gaiters rounded out the major portage footwear). They have replaced my bombproof but heavy, stiff, and bulky full leather Scarpa boots for most major expeditions.

The only negatives are that the sizing seems to run a half size small (for me anyway; usually a size 11 even in Keen sandals, I had to move to an 11.5) and possibly the durability of the waterproofing. My first pair (2014) started to leak a little after three years (they are now my beaters for around the house). The second pair (vets of several expeditions) are still going strong and my third pair I'm just breaking in now.

3 month review... Would of been 5 till this morning...
I generally wait at least 3 months before ever writing a review, because let's face it, most things are going to, or should be great when you first get them, and I actually wish more reviewers would consider this.

Just under 4 months ago I purchased these boots and I absolutely love them. They are by far some of the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They may be laced up to be snug without being or feeling too tight. I feel confident and stable when walking on rocks or boulders. Traction seems good on wet surfaces. I like the "wider" front of the boot which keeps my toes from feeling cramped. I feel they provide great ankle support. They have kept my feet dry (as they're supposed to). Their easy to get in and out of too. I would certainly purchase another pair in the future even though this morning, one of the eyelets (actually a banded nylon loop) where the shoelace goes through broke... Typically for me, if something actually "brakes" under normal use/conditions... I would give it a 1 star especially since it's less than a year! But only because I love these boots Sooo much, I will give it 3 stars. I called REI this morning and was told to bring them in pickup a new pair under warranty... So all is not lost... I have read in other reviews of this happening as well. I can only hope that KEEN takes note and shares this quality control issue with their manufacturers...

Keen shoes not the same quality anymore
I've purchased several pair of Keen hiking shoes. I prefer the ankle support of these shoes and like the wider toe box of Keens compared to other brands' hiking shoes. I did have to go up a size in these shoes compared to other Keens. The soles are not cut to exact fit for this shoe, making it look cheaply made, and come apart during hikes a lot easier after only a few months wear, compared to the older models who had a more custom, handmade look and were very durable for years. I am hopeful Keen will review the quality of their products and live up to their previous manufacturing quality. If not, I will not be purchasing anymore products from Keen.

Great Boots but durability is questionable
I have owned these boots for a period of 3 months. As far as grip and comfort nothing can rival these boots. After 1 month i began to notice some separation of the sole. After 2 hikes in hawaii the rubber began to completely separate from the bottom of the shoe. I would just like to think I just got a bad outlier because I truly do love everything about these boots. They are completely dry, have great comfort, and superior traction. I guess I'll just have to constantly glue this pair back together until I get new ones
