Saved my life
Replaced my old Giro last year with the Giro Nine.10. Great fit, nice and snug. I was skiing in whiteout conditions at Stowe, VT in late January 2015, became disoriented do to visibility and took a bad fall. I ultimately landed with my head (still in helmut) smacking the mountain.

I walked away a bit rattled, no concussion. GREAT HELMUT!

Great for the price
Bought this helmet for my boyfriend, so I had to do a little guessing on the size. The good news is, the helmet has an adjustable inner setting that allows you to loosen or tighten the inner padding around your head to get it just right. He loved it.

How much does it weigh?
A shopper on Mar 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Giro Nine.10 Snowboard Helmets are light weight enough not to notice when they're worn.
Does it have the adjustable dial?
Karen B on Feb 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The dial in the rear of the helmet makes it easy to tighten or loosen the fit. This works well for adjustment whether wearing a balaclava or going without you can make sure the fit is snug.
How do you determine the size?
Tom B on Jan 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Agree with Kent S. It may not be obvious on the sizing page that you have to scroll it down to see sizes and related numbers in inches for head circumferences. if you are any close to the margin, take the next size. I happened to be at higher margin for M size, I took L size and did not make a mistake.
Hi, I'm buying this for my boyfriend and I am absolutely positively clueless when it comes to anything snowboarding gear. He said that the helmet should have a strap on the back so he can put his goggles over it. I'm not sure what that means but does this product do that? Is it easy to wear any type of goggle over it?
Sarrah H on Dec 28, 2015
I would be more than happy to help out. So if you look at the helmet you will see that there's a groove along the side that goes all the way around the back and to the other side. This groove allows the strap from the goggles to sit without slipping up or down. On the back of the helmet there's a rubber strap that crosses over top of where the goggle strap sits. What this strap does is it keeps the goggles from coming off if you crash or put them up and forget about them. So yes to answer your question it does have the strap for the goggles.
I have only ever used one set off goggles with this helmet and they fit/work great with it. So you should be good to go there. Most helmets and goggles have the same basic shape, This is so they can be mixed and matched Without an issue. (Not all but most) I hope this helps. And in the future what I recamend is jumping on YouTube, putting in the name of the helmet/product you are looking at and looking for a review of it. There are usually a ton and they are very helpful. You will usually get a full view of the helmet and they'll talk about the features too. I have done this with gear so I can find out if it runs big of small for sizing and to help me decide between two similar products.
Let me know if I can answer anything else for you. I hope you guys have fun on the slopes ;)

The strap on back to keep goggles in place- Does the snap close and lock? My son lost his last goggles because it just sat on the helmet and you slip the strap under. I am looking for one that snaps closed so he does not lose them again.
Kelly T on Jan 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The helmet has a strap that snaps closed to retain the goggles. It works well. My goggles have been knocked off my face but the strap in back kept them fastened to my helmet.
Is this helmet compatible with smith goggles or any goggles?
Andrew M on Nov 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I bought this helmet and the Anon M1 goggles and they fit great. I don't see why a pair of Smith goggles would not fit just as well. If they do not fit, the customer service is second to none.
I'm having trouble deciding between this helmet and a Lib Tech logo helmet ( what should I do or what helmet is better? help me out please
Matthew on Jul 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm partial to Giro helmets. This is my third. I bought the Giro Nine.10 specifically for its compatibility with blue tooth chips (speakers) and the dial adjustment for head size. Both features work well. The adjustment for head size allows for a balaclava (heavy and light weight). Had trouble finding the specifications for the Lib Tech helmet.
What model year is this? 2014/15, 2015/16?
Thank you
M O on Dec 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 2014/15, as I bought it last year.
Does this helmet have mips?
Todd H on Dec 28, 2016

This particular helmet does not have Mips. If you would like to get a helmet with Mips, please take a look at the Giro Nine Mips. It will definitely be the helmet you're looking for.

-Thank you
Trying to decide between the Nine. 10 and giro seam. What are the key differences between the two models?
Shane D on Apr 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hello Shane, both helmets fit great. The key difference between the Nine.10 and the Seam is the ventilation. While both helmets have Super Cool Vents, the Nine.10 uses Weatherstrip Vent Plugs, to open or close the vents you need to remove the helmet and do it manually. The Seam on the other hand has Thermostat Control Adjustable Venting, which you can adjust while wearing by simply sliding it for and aft. The Seam also has X-Static anti-bacterial padding. Thank you.
Is size XL between 62 to 65cm?
A shopper on Jan 20, 2016

The XL sizing is 62.5-65cm.
