Completely fixed my duck stance and knee pain
If I could give these boots 10 stars, I would. I have an abducted foot stance (also called duck feet), where my feet (and skis) look like \/ instead of || . This puts tremendous strain and torque on my knees when I ski, and makes fundamental techniques more difficult than they should be (especially turn exiting and transitions).

I searched my local shops high and low for advice on how to fix this, and no one seemed very knowledgeable on the subject. Many insisted that I buy their bootfitter's favorite boot, and then plane the soles, add shims here, blow out part of the boot there, increase canting to extremes, yadda yadda yadda. All hack solutions to a very real problem.

I knew of Fischer's Soma-Tec and Nordica's NFS (Natural Foot Stance), but couldn't get my hands on a pair of either to try in person. So I took a risk and ordered the Fuse and Viron from The-House, and as luck would have it, both fixed my problems in an instant. Between the two, I really liked the Fuse's cabrio (3-piece, 3-buckle) design, and the slightly larger last was great, too (105mm vs. the Viron's 102mm).

If you have an abducted stance, you really owe it to yourself to try a pair of boots designed around people whose feet don't point straight forward. In my opinion, boot technology these days, from a stance standpoint, is horrifically archaic. Most people have at least a slightly abducted stance (pigeon-toed folks aside), and today's technology simply doesn't account for that.

Getting my stance neutralized by these boots not only corrected my knee pain, but it also instantly elevated my skiing. What else do you want out of your boot?

Wear US size 8 should I get 8.5 which is the 26.5 ski boot?
Brian S on Nov 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Although fit is a very personal issue, I found these boots to be true to the size, I bought exactly my size, 9.5. If you buy the right size you may not need to custom fit these boots, they are comfortable out of the box. Personally I would not buy larger size as boots have very generous last and you may end up with more room than you want.
