The all new 2016 Alaskan Alloy doesn't just have a slick new paint job. It also got some serious body work from our design team! This year we listened to both our riders and our fans. We heard a resounding call for a more nimble, go anywhere, hard charging, performance driven fat bike that delivered fast handling year round on single track with the ability to run a 4.8" tire for trail-breaking long hauls on snow covered bike packing expeditions. For 2016 we increased the rear triangle width in the hips and shoulders to accommodate up to a 4.8" tire on a 100mm rim without adding length to the chain stays. We achieved this by utilizing an hourglass shape on the chain stays and straightening out the seat stays which allowed for rigidity when climbing the steeps and powering out of turns while still remaining compliant and agile while monster trucking the descent. The redesigned 2016 Alaskan alloy is your new year's resolution to get fat. 


 Pair this frame with the Alaskan Carbon fork for a lightweight and responsive ride. Or pair it with 100mm of travel delivered by the Rock Shox Bluto fork for an amazing trail bike. The 2016 Alaskan Alloy was designed to accommodate a 4.8" tire on both 80mm or 100mm rims. (The VeeRubber Snowshoe 2XL will not fit in this frame and will ONLY fit in the Alaskan Carbon fork. It is not compatible with any other fork we offer

Excellent
Got this frame in 19" as a complete bike about 5 weeks ago.
I could not be happier.
The entire process from ordering over the phone to waiting an entire 2 days when it arrived and riding the same day was just about the best buying experience ever.
The bike is gorgeous and ill be retiring my full suspension bike I think. It rolls, pedals, shifts, climbs, like no bike I have now.
Better components than all other fatties on the market for the price. Getting one for my mistress next. Thanks to "The House"

I have a Framed Minnesota 2.0 and would like to switch over to this frame. (2016 Alaskan Alloy) What else will I need to make the switch?

BEST ANSWER: you will need a new headset, crank set, bottom bracket, fork and 190mm rear wheel and front wheel with a 150mm spacing and 15mm thru axle.
I have an Alaskan Carbon with a 197x12 TA rear wheel. Can I swap over everything from my Alaskan Carbon to this frame without any issues? My main concern was the rear wheel compatibility since the Alloy is 190x10 QR.

BEST ANSWER: Everything should be able to swap over as long as you get the conversion casp for the Pub Hubs to go from Thru axle to Quick Release.
Can you sell this frame with a parts package like you do for the Alaskan Alloy Builds on your site? Norm

That frame is available as a build kit option but you will have to call our sales department over the phone to get that bike build ordered.
I'm wondering why The House is not selling 2015 Alaskan Alloy Frames (other discount online retailers are)? Are you guys not selling them because of quality control issues with the head tube? That's the problem I'm having. Out of my 15+ bikes, this is the only one with a NOT ROUND HEAD TUBE and a sealed bearing that fits like a square peg in a round hole.
