Description: DC Scout BOA Snowboard Boots

Step into the ultimate snowboard boot for men with the DC Scout Boa®. Skip wasting time while tying your laces just the right amount with the Boa® H3 Coiler closure system. The Boa® H3 Coiler closure system gives you high lace tension that creates the comfortably snug fit you want in a snowboard boot. The DC Scout Boa® features DC's Red Liner that is heat moldable and wicks away moisture to keep your feet warm and dry for a full day of shredding. The Scout Boa® also features UniLite outsoles creating an extra lightweight boot while still providing you great cushioning for the days you're going "full send" off the jumps. With a medium flex, the Scout Boa® provides a tad bit of stiffness that is great for fast riding and quick turns, like those of days riding in the backcountry, while not being too stiff to ride in the park. This winter, wear a boot that you feel like you can do anything in with the DC Scout Boa® men's snowboard boot.

Key Features of DC Scout BOA Snowboard Boots:

  • Foundation Unilite Outsole
  • Red Liner
  • Snow Basic Insole
  • Flex Rating: 6/10

Decent, but didn't last long
So I regret not realizing that these liners were heat-moldable before I processed a warranty claim on the product. Had I done this I may have been able to stretch out the life of the product. That being said, the boots had an issue with the stitching tearing on the tongue area, and it affected how snug the boot was fitting.

I ride frequently (over 50 days last season, maybe 1/4 of which were in these boots) and I think that for the long term it may have been more effective to add an BOA system that locks across the toes like in the Burton Step-On boots. However I also think you kind of get what you pay for by getting the low end BOA option. I'd give the boots I bought three stars overall but if they lasted longer they would probably be four stars considering the price and quality. They do lack a little bit in comfort and it took a long time to break them in so it didn't feel like knives were digging into my ankles.

DC was wonderful about processing the warranty and I honestly would rate them a 5 star company just for how they handled matters. I received a gift card for the value of the boots and am excited to buy some more DC gear. Make sure you take advantage of the heat-molding in your liners.
