Description: Dakine Charger Mittens

Striking a solid balance between dependable warmth and protection, the Dakine Charger Mitten is ready for full-throttle riding and skiing. Loaded with high-loft synthetic insulation, the Charger Mitten keeps your hands toasty when wintertime temperatures dip into icy realms. Hook-and-loop cuffs conveniently tuck underneath jacket cuffs for a low-profile fit. Fleece lining surrounds your hands in fuzzy warmth, so your hands don't succumb to frigid alpine conditions. The durable water-repellent leather palm withstands serious abuse on the mountain while maintaining supple dexterity for strapping into your bindings and retrieving items from jacket pockets. Also, there's a water-repellent nylon and polyester shell that beads off soaking moisture when it's snowing heavily on powder days.

They are mittens. They did what mittens do.
Can't complain too much about the mittens they kept snow out and in turn kept my fingers warm. They were ok for mid February riding at 28 degrees but they were perfect for very late spring with slushy snow.

How warm are these?
A shopper on Dec 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They run a little small so go up a size but the lowest I’ve had them in is 23 degrees Fahrenheit For a 9 hour day on the slopes and my finger tips got cold towards the end. Not numb just cold. Overall they for well and are nice and secure when on. Also the never got wet which was nice
do these mittens have "catch straps"? basically like leashes for your gloves.
Aaron R on Jan 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They did have a little loop that I would imagine you could attach the "leash".
