Very nice jacket
I purchased this jacket several weeks ago for a warm alternative to my Neff Warren jacket. The Ebreon parka is well designed and is very warm. It has recently dropped down below 25 degrees Fahrenheit in the last week and I was able to wear this parka with only a long sleeve shirt on underneath and stayed warm for hours. The hood is actually the perfect size however I doubt it would accommodate a helmet with the jacket zipped all the way up. The pockets are all in the right place and it is a good looking jacket. I took the fur off of the hood for now because it tickled my cheeks but will throw it back on if we get another big storm like we did last year and I end up digging peoples automobiles out of the snow. I can not tell you how warm and comfortable this jacket really is. I have paid over 250$ for a jacket and it was not as nice as this one. It does not have a powder skirt but I would wear this parka on the mountain snowboarding any day.

4.5 Compared to Fjall Raven; 5 for the general quality and value
Sturdy, warm, convenient, stylish. Alternative to the Fjall Raven for 25% of the price. Fjall Raven-like shoulder patch too. Not a cheap of flimsy coat by any measure, rather, a well designed, well made, serious jacket. The synthetic insulation, although not Down, is warm, and most importantly the shell is windproof. Well placed and convenient pockets. This coat will withstand worse weather than most of us are likely to experience in the 48. Chamonix is a good brand.

The perfect jacket
Love this jacket! It has plenty of pockets both inside and out, and is very warm. I live up in Maine and it has no problem keeping me warm on a 10-20 degree day. I was very satisfied with this purchase.

Great purchase
Great coat. Comparable to a Canada goose coat for 1/4 the cost. Warm, stylish and good quality. I have received compliments every time I wear it.

Great buy if you need a warm men's parka!
I was not familiar with the Chamonix brand but ordered this jacket based off prior reviews and feedback I had received from customer service. I was very pleased when I received the product it is well made and warm for a very reasonable price. I ordered a large I am 6'2" / 200 lbs. / 34-inch arm length and it fit fine so I would order based off your regular size. I ordered the red which is a more an orangish red for color reference.

Plenty of pockets! Very warm! Fits perfectly!
I bought this in preparation for traveling to Iceland in the beginning of February. I am from Florida so I am not well versed in cold climates but this parka has been a lifesaver!

Is the hood itself removable?

BEST ANSWER: Nope. It’s integral to the jacket but isn’t really noticeable when pulled back. This parka is well made and is the warmest I’ve ever worn on the prairies of North Dakota.
