Great Heavyweight Flannel
Quite simply, this is one of the heaviest, warmest flannels available today. The material is very soft and thick, but keep in mind, it is not cotton, so I don't know how well it would resist sparks from a campfire, and it does snag easily from thorns and brush. Concerning sizing: I'm 5'10", 170 lbs., 33" waist, broad-shouldered, fairly muscular build, and prefer a 34-35" sleeve length. The Medium in this shirt fit me well except for the following: it was too tight in the armpit, elbow, and wrist. The seam of the arms is very thick and stiff, contacts right on the elbows when I bend my arms, and is both uncomfortable and restrictive. If you're built thin, these issues might not pose a problem. I tried a Large, and while fitting a little looser in the waist, it was much more comfortable to move around in. Since I don't feel the need to tuck in my flannels, the extra width and length were not a problem. The colors in online photos are pretty accurate, except for one thing. The Collegiate Navy color is actually a royal and light blue mix (look for examples elsewhere online). This color is difficult to find elsewhere. The color of the photo on this website for Collegiate Navy is incorrectly showing the Burnished Amber shirt (which is more of a teal blue, navy blue, and amber mix). What ships is what fits the description, not the photo.
