I need to know the weight of this 172cm Rome Whiteroom Swallow Tail (no hardware)? Thanks
Paul W on Nov 30, 2015
I weighed a 172cm length, no hardware, and got 6lbs 12oz. That is fairly standard for a longer board.
I'm 5'1'', 165lbs, and in relatively good shape. Could I handle the 172cm swallowtail?
Tom S on Nov 10, 2015
For a swallowtail powder board... I think this is just too big. I would not go larger that the mid-160's in your case.
would be fine if i am 5.7' ride 172cm?
A shopper on Jun 30, 2015
Rome suggests that you could ride the 172cm length Whiteroom St Splitboard... but I would not recommend it. It will be long and unwieldy for you. A lot of work... not a ton of fun. How much do you weigh?
How well do off the shelf skins interface with the swallow tail design of this splitboard? Would I just cut the skin to the periphery of each ski?
A shopper on Dec 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This is quite a good question. I spoke to a couple of our guys who suggested that they just cut the back of the skin, and that was the easiest... though a few skins will attach to the swallow tail ok. I see no skin specifically designed for this board type though.
I am debating buying this for my bf. Dumb question.... but does it only come in 172cm? I'm confused because I see the sizing chart, but every time I google the rome whiteroom st splitboard it is 172cm. Thanks
Laura C on Nov 30, 2014
Not a dumb question... in fact Rome lists this board in an odd manner. For 2014 The Whiteroom came in 3 sizes: 158, 162, and 172. Each size has a different shape. The unique "swallowtail" you see here was the 172 length only. Here are some other versions. Let me know if there is anything else!

If I was to buy this board what else would I need to have a complete board?
I have boots but would I need clips, flip-speed and crampons? If this board doesn't come with any of these , do you have a company you could recommend that I buy them from
martin k on Nov 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hey Martin,

This board comes with the clips that hold the board together but you will need a Beacon, interface kit and some bindings.

Check out the Voile kits under Splitboard Accessories and get some splitboard bindings and you will be complete.

If you need more help call in and ask for Sales and we can get you set up.
