Description: Lib Tech Skunk Ape HP Wide Snowboard

The Skunk Ape HP Men's Wide Snowboard from Lib Tech is the ideal deck for the rider who wants to tackle park terrain with total control. Designed with a hybrid rocker camber profile, this freestyle deck offers precision control, with added float to keep you up in deeper snow, while its loose feel maintains easy turning to empower you with versatile movement as you shoot down the hills. Magne-Traction technology gives the board serrated edges to provide you with a better edge hold and greater control in all conditions, even when riding over ice. With a medium-stiff flex, it offers a faster movement response at higher speeds and is favorable for groomed runs. The 2019 Lib Tech Skunk Ape HP Men's Wide Snowboard is great for riders with an intermediate to advanced skill level looking for more play and quicker response across all terrain. (Wide boards are recommended for riders with a size 11 boot and up.)

Skate Feel
Riding this board feels like what I thought snowboarding would feel like when I first heard of snowboarding. I haven't had to bevel the base rail edges (like ever other board I've owned), it is totally stock. It charges, carves, slides, pops, it does it all for me. 169W. Thank you Lib Tech.

Hello buy this board if your a gaint. It’s my 1st lib tech I spent 2 days finding hidden powder spots in the trees the board wanted more I can’t wait for a good powder day to really see how it floats. On the grooomers it was crazy fast and firm. Slapped a set of now drives bindings on it I couldn’t be happier. I’m thinking about getting a shorter one for spring riding and saving the 169 for mid season and powder days

Skunk Ape is the best larger human shred sled I've ever ridden. I'm on my 3rd one and it's perfect in pow or on groomers. My size 14 boots fit with no toe drag. Paired this up with the Bent Metal "Solution" binders for unrivaled badassery!

The Skunkape has been my go-to all mountain board for many years now. It can handle any condition you put it in. I’ve got a size 12 foot and larger frame, there is not much out there that fits like the ape. Thanks Lib!

This board is so amazing - I keep telling my friends you have to get a skunk ape. This board absolutely dominates deep snow - effortlessly.

Love this board. Super easy to stomp landings and pillows. Excellent board. Thanks for making it! I have 13 feet and weigh 230 and my 165 floats me in the pow with an 8 pack and a bottle in the backpack. The only thing I would like changed would be sintered base instead of tnt. The tnt is good but sintered is a bit faster. Thanks.

I owned this board loved it in the powder! It will stay on top of the snow better than others, that I have ridden on lib techs line up in the past. The wide part of the board is nice for bigger feet which inturns helps on pow....

Dislikes.
Flatbasing this bad boy at high speeds are a bit unnerving. Almost like your on a flat plate if you wasn’t a comfortable rider it might scare you just find the edge and fly!
Other is when at the top of the hill putting board on and moving @ slow speed this board being wide is a bit tougher to turn
These are my personal opinions I’m glad to see we can review these bad boy toys on there website now! Big plus to help other decide

I am 6'4 165 lbs, should I get the 157 or 161?
Bradley H on Mar 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: 161 for sure
6'5" 190 lbs - 165 or 169?
A shopper on Apr 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hey, I would go with the 165 in the Lib Tech Skunk Ape HP. I just think you would have to work to hard to turn the 169. Not saying you couldnt ride the 169 but it will take the fluidity of the board away. Hope that helps!
