Description: Sapient Alive Wide Snowboard

The Sapient Alive Wide Snowboard is designed with big-footed riders in mind. If you've got size 11 feet or larger the all-mountain, wide, freestyle deck makes this board a lot of fun. 2x4 insert packs give riders a variety of stance options and the flat-style profile shape is stable but a little surfy. The Alive is a softer board with a flex rating of 4 because of the poplar wood core and cap wall construction. Gotta love the graphic on this snowboard!

Key Features of Sapient Alive Wide Snowboard:
  • Poplar wood core wrapped in smooth riding biax fiberglass
  • UHMW Extruded base material for low maintenance
  • Flat-style profile
  • Cap wall construction
  • 360 wrapped standard steel edge
  • Flex rating 4

Very pleased
This board is good looking to start with . My son is not very experienced but , he seems to be able to control this board very well , he is six foot tall with size thirteen foot , was difficult finding him something that fit well. Went up the mountain with it and loved it. Recommend it to tall people with large size foot.

Super Forgiving, Spank Free Board!
As a surfer/multisport athlete who is just getting into snowboarding, this is a great board. Just spent 8 hours on it last weekend and really noticed how forgiving this board was due to the flat profile. There were several occasions that I would straighten out after a carve and feel the opposite edge hit. Instead of spanking me with a face plant (like a camber board would), I just kept riding! Definitely recommend this board for those getting in on a budget.

Why did you choose this?
The-House.com Store
I chose the Sapient Alive because they're good boards for the price range. If I did snowboarding as a living I'd probably put more into my boards and step up to a higher end board like a Burton, but I just ride for fun so I can't really justify dropping that much on money on a board. But for the price range, Sapient is a definite contender.
