Solid board, New obscure brand. Looking like a steal for the $$$
Purchased this deck as somewhat of a brand test. Never heard of Chamonix and neither apparently has anyone else. After digging the boards are a in house brand specific to this retailer. The boards are made in Taiwan, most likely at the Playmaker Co. LTD. They are an OEM manufacturer for other brands such as Nitro and Rome and Bataleon amongst others. They also manufacture kiteboards for several name brand kiteboard company's. I'm 6'1 240 and grabbed the Dolent 165. It came today. Nice board, construction looking solid with a nice sintered base and solid stainless edges all around with seemless joints. Board is nice and stiff and has a good looking sidewall construction as well. I paid 188$ and as a guy who's been riding since 92 it seems like a steal. I'd recommend it even tho I haven't ridden it yet.

Board GREAT, bindings meh
The board is excellent! Initially thought it was a little stiff, but after breaking it in it’s pretty optimal for my sort of riding. The bindings that came with it were too large. Wearing a 9.5 boot I was instructed to order the large (for size 9+) and the toe straps bottom out.

Great entry level board!
Well worth the money! A little stiffer than I anticipated but that’s fine with me! Feels good on the slopes! A little stiff in the park but manageable. I would highly recommend! Top sheet came a little scuffed but other than that it’s holding up well after 5-6 sessions.

What board wouldyou reccomend. I am 6,5 weigh 195 lb and wear a size 12 boot. I am thinking about the motivon or the dolent?
Jensblijleven on Jan 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The Dolent is going to be great for riding groomers and all around resort riding, while the Motivon is geared towards the big mountain riders. So which style do you prefer? IF the Dolent, grab the 160!
I'm 5'8" 130 lbs 9.5 boot. What size would work best?
Christopher R on Jan 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Christoper,
Going by the provided specs you will be best off with a board in the range of 151 to 154 length. You could ride this Dolent 155cm length, but it would be the longest you would want to go.
Where are these Chamonix boards made? What OEM factory is making these boards for Chamonix?
A shopper on Jul 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The Chamonix Dolent Snowboard is a great all mountain freeride deck. Chamonix boards are pressed in the same factory that makes Nitro.
What board do you recommend for a 6’1 160lb rider? Mainly freestyle riding at resorts.
Sharon W on Feb 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I would recommend going with the 160cm length, this is a great all mountain board for inbound resort riding.
