Description: 2117 of Sweden Hintertux Wide Snowboard

The 2117 of Sweden Hintertux Snowboard is an all-mountain, freestyle ripper built for the beginner to intermediate level rider. A combination of a poplar wood core and a bi-axial glassed top sheet creates a forgiving yet high performance ride. Offering the rider more control, the flat profile is a less aggressive style board with a well-rounded center style stance. Grab the Hintertux and dabble in the park or ride some groomers.

Key Features of 2117 of Sweden Hintertux Wide Snowboard:
  • Poplar wood core - The perfect combination of strength to weight ratio.
  • Bi-Axial Fiberglass - Two layers of stitched fiberglass at 0 and 90, creates a forgiving and high performance flex profile.
  • UHMW Extruded base material - Ultra High Molecular Weight extruded base material. This base is a proven performer with a low level of maintenance, for a consistent glide.

Mind you, this is my 1st board so I have nothing else to compare it to. All I can say with 100% certainty is that it is much lighter than the rentals during my 1st two times snowboarding. Once I was used to this new, waxed/faster board I was able to do some good carving on relatively steep Green slopes. The board felt stable when flying down fast and straight, keeping my heel or toe edges down for stability. I was also able to make sharper turns by kicking the back end out. No problems.

If you have a size 11+ foot, I'd recommend this for your 1st board. I may never do more than carve so this may be my ONLY board.

Im 6'1 , 215 lbs and a size 12 boot would this board fit me ?
streetlight on Dec 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The 161cm 2117 of Sweden Hintertux Wide Snowboard would be a good fit for you. It has a smooth ride that's awesome to cruise the whole mountain with.
I wear a size 9 boot...would this be too wide?
A shopper on Nov 18, 2017
For sure this board will be too wide. For a Men's size 9 boot you will not need a 'Wide' board for any company. There is nothing stopping you from riding a Wide board, however they tend to be a little stiffer and a little less nimble... for the most part you don't want to ride one unless you need to.
how wide is that board i know regular one 10" how many inch wider any wide board.Because i have a 1.5 " over toe .I think i should buy the wide board right?
nurhan_steel on Nov 30, 2016
What size boot do you wear? If it is over an 11.5 you will want a snowboard with a waist of 25.8cm+. This 2117 Hintertux Wide in any size would be able to accommodate you boot.
HI I'm Size 15 and y boot is about 13.5 inch long. Will this board work for me?
Brandon L on Nov 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Brandon,
For a size 15 boot, the general recommendation is to look for a snowboard with a waist width of 27.0 or larger. This Hintertux snowboard is quite wide, and almost fits your requirement. If you ride with your feet in a "v" or ducked.... it may work.
How does it ride?
A shopper on Feb 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Oh man, the board is just awesome! Rides smooth, maintains good speed and curving is just too easy! Plus it has perfect control of whatever you want to do! Highly recommend picking this board up!
I weigh 150 and am close to 6’2 and wear size 12 boots is this gonna be a good board?
A shopper on Dec 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I am 155 6'3" 155 and size 11 boot and i think it works fine for me. It is a wider board than usual so if u have bigger feet it is better probly
DOes this board come with bindings?
Brandon L on Nov 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Brandon,
This is not a package.... this will be just the board. Look here for Hintertux packages:
Hey so I'm 6'1" 210 and wear a size 13 boot. Originally I would lean towards the 161 but I see those are sold out. What do you think about the 158 for my size?
A shopper on Feb 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Take into consideration your leg inseam as well as height and weight. Also your riding style. I am 6’1” size 12 boot with a 29” inseam and I weigh 240 and I ride a 163 as my free ride board. But I ride a 158 as my park board because I can maneuver it easier.
I’m 5foot 10 inches 220lbs and a size 12 boot, is the 161cm or 158cm the one I should get? currently riding a 156cm forum recon that I have had for 15 years
Arvind S on Feb 7, 2018
I recommend going with the 161cm.
I am 6’ and 185 lbs size 12 boot. Is the 154 too small?
jugs “ on Jan 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The 158cm size will fit much better.
I'm 6,4 and 150 pounds. I know based on hight I should get the 161 but based on my weight I should get the 158. What would you guys suggest? Thanks - Jordan
Jordan H on Sep 5, 2017
I do not have a simple answer, and I apologize. For the most part a snowboard does not care how tall you are... sizing is based mostly on weight and style. Most companies will actually put you on a board closer to a 155cm length. I spoke to our snowboard specialists, and they thought in your case a 158cm length would be the ideal option... and not any longer.
Does the 2117 of sweden's 161 cm have magna traction ?
A shopper on Aug 14, 2017
It does not.
I wear a 10.5 boot, would the 161 be to wide for me? my boots are 12.5 inches long from heal to toe if that helps
Tyler V on Feb 10, 2017
With a 10.5 you (most of the time) do not need a wide snowboard. In this case... the Hintertux is a WIDE board.... more than you need, but whether it is too wide or not is up to you.
Hi I am 6'2 and weigh 160lbs with size 13 feet and was wondering if this board would fit me? if not what board should I get?
Aiden on Jan 21, 2017
Actually the Hintertux Wide Snowboard is quite wide and will accommodate a 13 boot well. I would suggest the 161cm length would be the most ideal for you.
Is it camber? Is it directional?
A shopper on Jan 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Camber Twin.
