Great beginner board
I decided to impulse buy this board and I was definitely not let down. For my first snowboard, it has really given me an enjoyable experience on the slopes. It's light and fairly easy to maneuver, and it looks fantastic! Definitely a great board to start out on.

A great beginner/intermediate board. It felt great. I rode it all over the mountain. I hit a few small jumps and it handled well. It was a very good purchase for me.

I choose this board because it is meant for a beginner and the price point, very affordable! I don't need the latest stuff yet because I still have alot to learn and I just want to improve and have a good time. I would learn how to snowboard on this just as much as the more expensive boards. Lastly, the graphics on it look nice.

Is this board for regular or goofy stance type?
A shopper on Oct 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: To be honest you can use this board both ways. It's balanced and even. I was a beginner when I bought it. While learning I often times got turned around but felt it was comfortable both ways. So it can be both regular and goofy.
How can i tell what size binding to get for my snow board ?
A shopper on Dec 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The size of your bindings will depend more on your boot size than which snowboard you choose. Most bindings come in small, medium and large, and each will cover a range of boot sizes. The House has a pretty good breakdown here:
Do I need to wax this board when its new and how often during use?
Guy “ on Jul 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This board came waxed from the factory for me but it wasn't great. I would recommend stripping that wax off and doing a good heated wax.

I also typically rewax mine every 1-2 days spent on the mountains.(not fully necessary I know but I also do it myself so it's not exspensive)
What size would you recommend for 5' 9" 180lbs size 9.5 boot? Thanks
Jason P on Mar 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It really depends on personal preference. A longer board will give you more speed, a shorter board will typically give you more control (if you like to hit the rails/boxes/aerials). A good general rule is that you want a board that stands up somewhere around your chin. I'm 6'0" and I bought the 158 and I've found it to be about perfect for my intermediate level boarding. Given the sizes available, I'd probably go with the 155 if I were you.
What model year is this board?
A shopper on Oct 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This avalanche Crest snowboard is a 2011 model year.
Can any binding fit on this board?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Bindings that have 4x4 or 2x4 disc capabilities can be mounted on the Avalanche Crest Snowboard.

CHeck out all the bindings that would work HERE:
Which end is the nose and which is the tail? Or does it not really matter?
A shopper on Oct 28, 2015
Although this snowboard has identical tip and tail widths the side cut and stance will make this Avalanche Crest a directional board. The side at the top of the screen in this image is the tip.
M 6'0"
250 lbs
10.5 shoe
I'm a beginner to intermediate rider and wanted to know if this board would fit my needs. I was also looking into the 2117 of Sweden W board. Which one is good for me?
A shopper on Oct 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Both this Avalanche Crest and the 2117 boards are competent, simple snowboards. A 10.5 boot will work on a regular width board quite well. Going by your posted specs, I would look at the 163 length Crest.... the 2117 boards are not going to be long enough. In your case I would look at this Burton Clash: 160cm length... it will be a little more robust than the Crest.
Can I get 4x4 bindings that will fit on this board for a size 11 boot?
Vince on Feb 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hello Vincent,
You certainly can! My only concern is that this Avalanche Crest may be a bit narrow for your foot. All of these bindings are compatible: You want a size L or M/L depending on the company. If you would like to look at our Wide board selection head here: Let me know if you have any questions.
