Description: Rome Sawtooth Snowboard

One of Rome's new models for the 2017 season comes the Sawtooth. This directional forward thinking deck comes prepared for that rider ripping first chair groomers and everyone in between. A traditional camber profile makes this deck have great snap and edge gain wherever you decide to take it. A single bamboo rod is added inside the core for a positive feedback for added energy and personality when popping and snapping your deck. Laced with a 90/90 carbon hybrid laminate adds that much more power inside the guts to make this deck a true all mountain mobster. Get to the top, strap in, spray some skiers and make it to the bar before mountain close.

Key Features of Rome Sawtooth Snowboard:
  • TurboRods—Bamboo Single Barrel - A snappy rod of bamboo milled into the core for more pop
  • Pop Core Matrix
  • 90/90 Carbon Hybrid Laminate
  • SinterTrue Base
  • Shape: Directional
  • Camber: Free - The Ride
  • Style: MTN Collection

What a deal
It's hard to tell what the graphics are in pictures, but in real life, it's a beautiful gloss/matte black contrast of an obsidian rock shape like a spear tip, with the enlarged version serving as the backdrop to the smaller one in the stomp pad area.

I haven't ridden it yet, but for a 167, the weight is very balanced and the flex is nice and poppy from those internal spines. I can't wait to absolutely bomb some groomers and slash trees with this puppy!

I read somewhere this board was made for riders who used to enjoy the park but their style has evolved into a harder charging, more all-mountain freeride style which is exactly what I've done. Stiff enough to handle chop with ease, but a camber profile that lets you surf the champagne too! The shape is super unique and will definitely get some stares.

Does this board have a 3d base?
A shopper on Oct 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
Mark is correct, this board does not have a 3D base. I believe that the only brands that do TBT are Bataleon (https://www.the-house.com/snbd.html?nocache=1&refine.pagenumber=1&refine.vendor=Bataleon) and Lobster.
How y’all do I have to be to fit on a 167mm?
Reggie on Oct 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey Rajen,
The 167cm will fit someone 180lbs and up.
Will this board (at 167) accept an Xtra Large binding (11-15) (boot at 13)?
A shopper on Sep 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
You shouldn't have a problem with that depending on how wide your stance is, the brand of the bindings, and the angles at which you have your bindings. Overall, most brands will fit if you have a wider stance and have your bindings angled outward (duck-footed).
Can I ride this board in the park?
A shopper on Aug 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
You technically could ride any board in the park, but this board's shape isn't designed for park riding. I would check out our selection of Freestyle & Park boards here: https://www.the-house.com/snbd-freestyle-snowboards.html
