Description: CAPiTA Mercury Snowboard

The Capita Mercury is the board for the rider who doesn't check the weather report before they go out and ride. They just go. This new age directional shaped deck gives you hard-charging power on the corduroy and lots of hang time through the air, off those massive booters and tight transitions. A traditional camber profile gives you all the extra pop and energy you need on edge and off the snap of the nose and tail. Preloaded with Capita's Bamboo Power Rods™ and a high-speed Ultradrive™ base gives you a lively, fast, and responsive snowboard, that beckons to be called upon as your all-terrain right-hand man. We had some good time together
I have been riding this board for about 100 days in everything from iced resort runs to volcano's to back country chutes. It was an adjustment at first but I do believe that it softened up a bit and I got used to how it responded over time. It was a champ on everything from little kickers to deep powdery back country tree runs. I got to a point of loving it so much that it became the only board I rode this season with the exception of skinning.
I just cracked the top sheet and separated the edge from the sidewall under my front heel and I’m pretty sad about it. Sad to the point that I used some hysol epoxy and clamped it back together to finish out the season on it.
All of my boards die a brutal death due to a lot of aggressive riding so I would say the board held up well and I think I’m going to grab either another Mercury or a DOA.
If you are a seasoned rider this is a great board for any situation that doesn’t require you to pull out your split board.

hard charging but not a slow tech board
super powerful when you carry speed but does not initiate corners quickly while trying to navigate side hits or trees. with a fresh new deck, dont expect to torque the deck to further grip in a deep corner. this deck will take you far if you bang speed all day long

If I bought the Capita Mercury snowboard could I get the white front and base for 161cm?
Logan on Mar 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The base and top sheet color will be what the picture shows for each size board.
Hi I’m 6’4 165 lbs and 11.5 boots since I am a lighter person for my height would the 161 or the 157 be better for me?
Bradley H on Mar 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It's going to be personal preference more than anything because you land between the weight range on both boards. The other factor is your boot size. Being a 11.5 you are on the edge of needing a wide board but the 157cm is 25.9 wide and the 161cm is 26.1 wide. If you are not a beginner I would size up to the 161.
Hi - I’m 6’0 165lbs and 11.5 boot, what size do you recommend?
A shopper on Jan 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I'd say the 155 is good for you!
DOA or Mercury for all mountain? Thanks!
Chris K on Oct 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey Chris,
If you ride park at all or ride switch frequently, the DOA for sure. If you ride powder or just like to go fast on groomers but don't ride switch, the Mercury would be your board.
180 lbs 10.5 155 or 157 ?
A shopper on Aug 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey,
I would go with the 157. You technically do fit on both, but you're at the top of the weight range on the 155. If you were looking for more of a short, easy-to-throw-around, jib board, the 155 would be the better choice, though I wouldn't recommend the Mercury for jib/park riding.
Hi,

I purchased the mercury in a 155 (I’m 5’9, 165lbs, size 9 imperial, all mountain charger). Would my boots be to small for the 157 waist? I feel I want a longer effective edge for carving.
