Do you have to downsize due to Nug Raduction for optimum fit? My normal board size is 157cm, and I prefer the color scheme on the 157 over the 153.
Bobby P on Jan 27, 2014

You don't have to downsize the Burton Barracuda if you really don't want to, you'll just float like you are riding a 160cm board in the powder.
Hi, Im 6'1" tall 215lbs size 11 boot. I mostly ride on powder, back country, free ride type of snowboarding. Im looking into investing on a Burton Barracuda 169cm snowboard. What is your recommendation on this snowboard and hight?
David L on Feb 14, 2014
I'm 5'6" 156 lbs 9 boot size and have been boarding for almost 20 fresh pow and cruising through trees when available but mainly carve it up on the slopes. Is the barracuda a good fit or would a custom, custom x be a better fit? I currently have a 2007 burton air 157. Hoping to get something that will allow me to charge the backcountry and the groomed runs. Will the s rocker allow me to really dig into a turn like a custom without slipping out? I'm assuming a 149 or 153 would be ideal for the barracuda.
Robert B on Jan 12, 2014

It looks like you fit best within the suggested weight range of the 152cm Burton Barracuda Snowboard (130-180 lbs.) v. the 149cm that has a suggested weight range of 110-160 lbs.

The Burton Barracuda Snowboard is a deck that many say is special, it's designed to be ridden on groomers and in the backcountry, and it does it flawlessly. The setback stance, directional shape & flex (stiffer tail), triax fiberglass, and Frostbite Edges help grip on firm groomers and have quick edge to edge response. Those key features combined with the S-Rocker profile shape make the Barracuda one of the best freeride boards on the market. The camber provides stability at high speeds and the rocker nose floats in pow.

One of the best things about the Burton Barracuda Snowboard for you would be the Nug Raduction tech that allow you to ride a short length, which is ideal for tight turns in the trees.

I give the Barracuda 2 thumbs up, it will treat you right.
I just purchased this board. Wondering if it comes factory waxed and I should be good to ride right away or if I have to wax it first? Thanks
A shopper on Oct 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: great answers, and Wade is right... they factory wax will only last a time or two out.
I am 5'6 140 lbs. Would you recommend the 149 or 153? I realize it's partially personal opinion, but would like to hear your suggestions. Thanks
A shopper on Aug 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'd choose the 153cm Burton Barracuda Snowboard because it's designed to be an all mountain powder board and it'll be more stable at high speeds.
Hey, i'm 6'5 and weigh about 181 lbs. would the 165cm board be alright for me? also if anyone has links to some bindings that would fit this board that are not too expensive that would be greatly appreciated.
josh m on Aug 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Josh, the 165 would be a good fit for you. As for bindings you may want to look into the Burton Mission or Cartel. Also the EST specific binding would work well with the Channel system on this board.

This is a good question. The snowboard listed "Burton Barracuda Blem Snowboard 169 2014" has slight scratches or blemishes on the top of the board. The cosmetic blems on this board are nothing more than small dimples in the topsheet or a slightly offset graphic. All blem boards come with a full manufacturer warranty and will perform as well as an unblemished board.
Hi I am a 5' 11" 160lb female, and I usually get a size 160cm for my board. Should I get the 157? Or would that be too short? I love the colors scheme on the 165cm too bad it doesn't come in smaller sizes too :/
Lauren W on Aug 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: You fit better in the 157cm Burton Barracuda Snowboard's weight range, and that's the length I'd ride if I was you. You can always paint it to the colors you want...

Can the Burton Barracuda be shipped to Australia?
The 'Shipping Info' link says 'yes' but the product's page says 'no'.

Potential customer.

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately due to vendor restrictions we are not capable of shipping Burton products internationally.

Sorry for the inconvenience
