Description: Sapient Wisdom Snowboard

The name is no coincidence, the Sapient Wisdom has all the knowledge you need in your first snowboard. This directional twin shaped deck allows for a deck that is forward thinking but allows the board to turn switch if the opportunity arrives. This deck comes constructed with a flat camber profile that provides contact with the snow at all times, for a stable ride that remains playful. An extruded base makes for easy tunes and a smooth glide, in many snow conditions. For a great deck without breaking the bank, the Wisdom from Sapient is a no-brainer.

Key Features of Sapient Wisdom Snowboard:
  • Biaxial Stitched Fiberglass - Two layers of stitched fiberglass at 0º and 90º, For classic performance and durability, while maintaining a forgiving flex pattern
  • Poplar wood core - Full wood Poplar core with bamboo stringers at the edges and the inserts for durability. Poplar has a very high strength to weight ratio and a low moisture content making for the perfect core material
  • UHMW base material - Ultra High Molecular weight extruded base is a proven performer with a low level of maintenance, offering a consistent glide in any condition
  • Rockwell 48 Carbon steel edges with a 1º base bevel and a 2º side bevel for easy turning

bought this board for my son,
Son weighs 155lbs. he loves this board in the deep powder up at Kirkwood. He has a season pass that allows him to snowboard a lot. He says he uses a smaller board in non-powder conditions.

Is this snowboard worth getting?
Tankster on Oct 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey Tancred,
This is a good option for someone who has never snowboarded before and it looking to learn on a budget. If you are above beginner-level, I would not recommend a Sapient snowboard to you.
Does this board need to get waxed before riding or its good to go after putting the bindings on?
Datsoldier34 on Nov 24, 2018
All of the snowboards we offer come with an initial factory wax, but that never is the best and we recommend you re-wax it within your first 3 times out. Remember... the more wax the better!
What is the flex rating of this board?
Anthony on Nov 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 3/ 10. The Wisdom is a super smooth and buttery soft board.
would a 11 year be able to ride this board ?
A shopper on Jan 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: if the child weighs close to 150lbs. Even 135lbs should be cool. but the board should not be any taller than the child's chin. This is really for someone around six foot tall and no less than 135lbs, This is my opinion.
Will this sapient board fit a size 12 foot in width without alot of over hang?
Greeny on Jan 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No. The "regular" width Spaient Wisdom is too narrow for a size 12 boot. The Sapient Wisdom WIDE will be a much better board. Check it out here:
