Description: Chamonix Chemin Snowboard

Full on powder days are what we strive for, so in every real snowboarder's quiver, a pow deck should be present! In French, "Chemin" means "Path"; this hard charging powder board will enable you to generate your own unique path, down the mountain. Whether you're exploring waist deep stashes or surfing the perfect pow day, this responsive riding, directional, camber board, will make for some of your most memorable days. While the directional shape, set back stance, and stiff hardwood stringers make this board ideal for deep snow, the speedy sintered base and camber profile create a versatile experience that will have the rider smiling ear to ear, whether it's land surfing or groomed corduroys. The Chamonix Chemin provides you the opportunity to carve a special path, all you have to do is choose a mountain!

Super nimble board on and off the powdert
I have to admit I was a little reluctant to but this board with no reviews but it has been everything I had hoped for. It is super responsive and rides like a surfboard. The nose floats and the tail sinks. It also performs well on the hardpack which is a definite bonus. I would definitely recommend to my friends!

buy it
typically spend 30-40 days on the snow a year
this is my second powder board (nitro quiver cannon 173)
havent had a chance to rip it in powder yet but will update soon. Killed the banked slalom and is fairly responsive. Hauls in a straight line, but definitely is a little rough in chunder due to stiffness. not a ton of tail so you need to land bolts. I would purchase it again. I wish it was a little softer and offered in longer lengths. a 164 with same nose length longer tail would be ideal. A more aggressive camber wouldn't be a bad thing but I really didn't have issues carving with this board.

Powder surfing
I’m a season pass holder at wolf creek, Colorado and never had a directional powder board until now. The swallow tail eliminates the need to lean back in powder as well as the short tail allows for tighter carving through trees and the long nose floats effortlessly in the backcountry. Highly recommend!

A fun little ripper (149)
I'm out of DC and we typically see next to nothing in the way of powder, so I wasn't looking to splurge on a powder board. When I saw this board and its price point I didn't want to pass on it. I impulse purchased the board and binding combo and I am so happy I did (came out to like $275 total).

I ended up going on a four day trip to Quebec, and we got two powder days. This board was a blast to ride, given the size (149) it was really nimble, and overall just a lot of fun to carve with. That being said, riding through areas that got really chewed up and moguled, made for a bucky ride. It rode fine on hardpack, but that's not what you're buying this board for.

Worth the purchase
Read the one review of this site and took the plunge and purchased one on a whim. I do not have any swallowtail in my quiver so why not try it out and see what happens. I was very impressed on how well it rode on groomers and variable terrain. Edge hold was great on carving.I took it to some leftover pow tree stash from our last dump a few days ago,no problem and rode it all day. This board was just fun to ride.

Yah love my 149 only thing was the tail end tapers so I had overhang with the chamonix bindings so I had to place smaller ones with less of a footprint. I am 5'11 and 150 pounds , boards been pretty sweet for quick 3's and carving. (?) This is a statement

BEST ANSWER: I’m riding size 11 boots with salomon holograms and havent had any problem with overhang on my 149. What angles are you riding?
I’m on +21/+6 for ref
I’m 6’1”, 195, size 10.5 - is the 156 big enough or should I look at another board?
Bonesaw on Dec 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey Garrett, given your height and weight, I would say the 156 is the shortest I would recommend. You could definitely ride this board, although if you are doing mainly backcountry/powder riding, I would suggest a board 160+
Will 149 work for 5'1 , 150lb woman ?
Avradip M on Jan 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The 149 would be perfect.
Wondering if the sidecut in the specs for this board are misprint or really that big? Can you verify?
Makani M on Dec 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not a misprint, they're really that big! I got this board for my boyfriend who is 6'2" 185lb and he loves it (his all mtn board is a 157, just prefers slightly shorter?). In some reviews I've seen a desire for a longer tail and I'd say he'd agree with that but overall it's a solid and responsive board for powder.
So I'm 5'6 230lbs will the 149 be ok for me or get the 156?
James G on Dec 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: To be honest, snowboards don't care how tall you are. It matters about your weight. So I would recommend the 156.
I’m 6’4 230 with a size 13 boot will the 156 work for me? Thanks!
Matthew K on Dec 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The 156cm would be a perfect size for you!
I'm interested in this board in 149 length. What are the base and deck colors in the 149?
Makani M on Dec 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The topsheet will be the same, but the bases have a "flip flop" to save waste in the manufacturing process - you never know what you're going to get.
