Description: Sapient Cog Snowboard

The Sapient Cog is a freestyle snowboard designed for beginner to intermediate level riders. It features a zero camber shape with a late pop in the tail. Cap construction with rubber foil edges reduces the amount of negative vibration your feet will have when you are riding through choppy conditions. Two separate layers of 0 and 90 degree bias fiberglass stitched together form a strong durable board and maintains the original ride characteristics longer. The extruded base will hold up to even the toughest conditions, with minimal waxing and maintenance. Pair the Cog snowboard with a set of medium flex bindings and some boots to match, and you'll be ready to cruise groomers or powder in no time.

Key Features of Sapient Cog Snowboard:
  • Cap construction
  • UHMW extruded base for crisp clear graphics and a low maintenance ride
  • Full wrap Rockwell 48-degree carbon steel edges
  • Rubber foil dampeners along the edges for a smooth ride and a strong bond
  • Non woven tip and tail inserts for increased durability
  • Bi-axial stitched fiberglass forms a strong, durable board
  • Full wood core reinforced with bamboo stringers along the inserts for increased strength and durability
  • ICP2112 topsheet material provides for vibrant graphics
  • UV lacquer coating prevents graphics from fading
  • Two 12 packs (2x2) of stainless steel inserts provides the maximum number of stance options

If I wear a mens size 10 boot will my feet hang off the board on the 148cm board? Thanks !
A shopper on Dec 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: 148 cm is the length of the board. But the board should be a universal width and I wear 8.5 women boot with the same board and my boots do barely hang over the edges.
Is this a good board for if I just want to cruise down a mountain? Not really do any tricks just looking to get down the hill. I'm a beginner.
A shopper on Nov 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It's a good board but it's a park board, it's very light and has a lot of flex so it's better for tricks and rails, heavier boards are better for turns and going down mountains for beginners, I would suggest and all-mountain board rather than a park board
I'm 5'7 weigh 165. Would this board in size 153 work for me?
kyle c on Feb 11, 2015
Good answers. You could ride this board just fine. The Sapient Cog snowboards will be good beginner level or less aggressive rider focus boards. They will be good for exploring the resort, dabbling the park, and just simply messing around.
Is this board freestyle?
Trevor C on Nov 12, 2013

Yes the Sapient Cog Snowboard would be considered a Freestyle Snowboard. It has a twin shape and a soft flex...

A shopper on Jan 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi. If it is the 161cm size that you got, then you should be fine.
Hello I have a question on two boards is there a big difference between the Sapient Cog snowboard and the Juice Wagon Burton snowboard?
Seabass on Jan 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Sebastian.
There will be quite a difference. The Sapient board is a much simpler board that will be good for an entry level boarder to develop some skills on. The Burton Juice Wagon is going to be a much more advanced deck. The Burton will have a slightly stiffer flex, slight set back, and a camber profile. The Juice wagon is going to be a tougher board for a more aggressive rider.
will adult small bindings fit the 153 board?
A shopper on Dec 6, 2014
as long as the bindings use the standard 4-hole (2x4 or 4x4) mounting system, you are good.
