Our son is riding this as he is just starting out. Good experience buying from the house. Sorry I can not comment on the specifics of the board, but it looks well made and solid. Good price

Is this easy for my 12 year old to learn as a beginner?
A shopper on Dec 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Last year, when i purchased this board, it was for a beginner. Although it is best on mountain, he was ambitious and also used it on park terrain and rails and it held up through it all...and he went nearly every day of the season so it had ALOT of use.

Does the board work well for the terrain park?
A shopper on Feb 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: My son (13) spends most of his time in the terrain park but I wouldn't say he's very advanced yet. For him, the board has held up well and is strong enough to ride rails, boxes and jumps. I did notice the other night that there are a lot of chips along the top edges of the board and my boards never did that. I didn't spend much time in the park though, prefer trails.
IS it a good park board?
jjjjjj on Nov 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: We bought it for our kid and he's loves it park board as in jumps.. He's doesn't jump that much but the kickers he did hit he liked it. As for all mountain he loved it. Hope that helps
Does this board come tuned and waxed?
Zach Z on Jul 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I don't think the board is waxed and tuned, but I don't believe new boards need that. Only after a lot of riding and some wear and tear would you need to wax and tune. My 12 year old rode the board this year, right out of the box, and he had a great season. I personally only get my board waxed about every 5 years since I don't ride on many rocks or branches and I don't want to feel as if i'm ice skating down the mountain. Waxing/tuning might be a matter of personal preference......I feel it's over rated for the occasional to semi-frequent rider!
I'm a 4'11 12 year old boy who weighs 80-90 pounds and wears size 7 in men's. What is a good board size?
A shopper on Jan 5, 2015
These are good answers. The perfect board for you will depend on your skill level and what style of boarding you like best (Park, Pipe, backcountry, cruise the resort...ect). You can go to a local shop to get sized, but you can also chat with out snowboard specialists here: 1 (800) 409-7669. This Sapient Fader is not a bad board to develop some skills with and cruise the mountain. If you are a little more aggressive take a look at something like this: Most brands have you somewhere around a 135cm length. Let me know if you have more questions!
would the size 144 be good for a beginner who is 5'2, weighs 160 lbs, and wears a size 9 boot ?
A shopper on Oct 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The board should come to under your chin. Get measured at a ski shop to get the correct size.
Hi, I'm 13 years old, 5 ft 2 inches, 95 pounds, and shoe size 9.5. Is this a suitable board for me? If not what is recommended?
Taylor C on Nov 22, 2015
This Fader would work just fine for you. It will be a good board to learn some skills on and explore the resort with (beginner to intermediate). You would be best with the 142cm length as you are continuing to grow.
My little brother is 5 3, 110 pounds and wears a size 8 shoe. Would the 144 or 146 be better?
A shopper on Nov 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: hasn't arrived yet, but I just bought 146 for my 5 3, 120 son, size 8.5 shoe. The way they grow at that age, if it's a hair big, it won't be by mid season and definitely next season.
Is this board easy to catch an edge on, I want my first board, when I was renting I caught mytoe edge and broke my wrist, I want a board that is hard to catch an edge on?
A shopper on Feb 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Sorry, I cannot answer your question. I bought this board for my 13 year old Nephew and he only used it one day on a sledding hill. He did a great job going down the hill and had no problems with it.
hi, i'm 11 years old, 5 ft 4 inches,110-115 pounds and wears a size 7 shoe in youth. is this a suitable board for me? if not, any recommenations
A shopper on Mar 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The 142cm & 144cm Sapient Fader Snowboards would fit you best.

I want a 48" snowboard, but most dimensions are in centimeters. How many centimeters is 48"?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There are 2.54 cm per inch.

48" 8 2.54 = 121.92cm
How is it in the powder?
jjjjjj on Nov 26, 2014
This Sapient Fader Snowboard is a great intro-beginner to intermediate all around snowboard. It will be grand cruising the resort, and if you encounter some powder it will be competent. It is not, however a powder specific board for deep mountain snow.
My son is 11years old and is 4'9 and 92lbs. Wears a men's size 7 shoe. Should I go with a 139cm or 142cm board?
A shopper on Feb 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The 142 would be the largest you should go and 138 is as small as you should go. Go with the 142 so the board will grow with him for a while.
