The video says the bord is for beginner to intermediate but it says intermediate to advanced on the ability level?
Nick F on Sep 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My son has been snow boarding about 5 years and this is his 4th board. I would say it's a good intermediate board, just not sure I would call it an advanced board.
I want to buy a board for my 7 yr old. I don't know what size to get,?
Brooks M on Dec 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The avalanche is too big, the snowboard should come to his chin height
You'll want a youth size for sure
Need one for ten year old beginner. Help?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Just got this as a spare board for my 14 year old. Replacing similar model. Not as stiff as the first board but my son wabted to switch between them, he's happy with it.
He's been boarding for about 5 years. Just make sure you order the correct length otherwise he may have issues if the board is too long. I'd rather buy a new board evert few years than to have him "grow" into it.

Upside, cheaper than his baseball bats!
is it new or used?
Benny on Aug 10, 2015
All of the snowboards we sell are new. This Avalanche Source is the 2012 model year, and will make an excellent, assertive, youth board.
The specs say extruded base but the description says sintered base. Which is it?
A shopper on Jun 25, 2016
Extruded base... I will fix that info.
First time boarding at 20, I'm 6'1 186Ibs I have. No idea what to buy. Help ?
Herb2 on Dec 14, 2015
Most companies will put you between a 158cm length and a 165cm length snowboard. As a beginner looking to progress a little I would look at 160 or 161 length board. That can change if you are going to be a really park focused or really backcountry focused snowboarder. As far as specific boards, I am happy to help you, our Live Chat people are happy to help, and you could call: 1 (800) 409-7669 if you wanted to speak to one of our snowboard specialists.
Is this board compatible with men's size bindings?
Shannon S on Dec 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Shannon,
This board is not super wide... I would say that you could realistically use Men's size 'S' bindings on this board. that is about it.
Are these compatible with an Avalanche Source Snowboard?
