My grandson is 5'6" weighs 120. How do we determine what size board he needs ? Boot size is 10.5.
A shopper on Nov 10, 2015
His weight is the most important determining factor. For most snowboards he will be best with a 144 to 148 length depending on his skill level. This Avalance Crest is a 145cm length and would work great.
My 12 year old is 92 pounds and 4'11. He wears a men's 8.5 shoe. What size board and bindings should I get him? Can't take him to store since this will be from Santa
Donna E on Nov 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The 145cm Avalanche Crest Snowboard would be a great place to start!

My 10 year old son is 4'10", weighs 85 lbs, and wears a size 6 shoe. He is new to snowboarding and this will be his first board. Will this size work for him?
Tania H on Dec 19, 2016
This Avalanche Crest will be too long for your son. Going by the specs you posted something between a 135cm length and 138cm will be the ideal length.
Does this board come pre waxed?
NickSko on Nov 27, 2015
Yes. The factory wax is not usually spectacular however. I would have it waxed within your first few times out. The more wax the better for you base.
