Description: Rossignol Evo First XC Skis

The EVO FIRST is an easy-to-use, waxless introductory touring ski designed for beginning recreational skiers. The new thinner core profile is lighterweight, delivering a softer, more user-friendly flex at the tip and tail. The waxless AR Plus base provides the best compromise between kick and glide in all snow conditions. Smaller sizing increases maneuverability and control for easier up-hills, safer down-hills and increased predictability in the flats. Built with a sturdy Wood Air core, the Evo First is an easy-to-use, durable and lightweight companion for on-trail skiing.

Looking into cross country skis for a female beginner and shoes to go with them. 5'3" tall and weight is around 150? Not sure how to pick skis can you provide some insight?

BEST ANSWER: Skis are fit by weight. For this skier 176cm would be a good choice.
looking for cross country skis for a young athletic couple that have never cross country skied but hike, run and ride bikes, they are both 5'9" tall and weigh about 140# any ideas what size or skis ???

The EVO series would be an excellent choice to have a a firsts ski. They are easy to use and extremely versatile as far as terrain and snow conditions. For someone in the 140lbs range you want to be looking at a ski around 170cm length. That means that these Rossignol Evo First XC Skis are just too long.
I am 5'1" and 175lb are these a good fit for a beginner?

BEST ANSWER: The Evo First is an excellent ski for a person who is new to the sport and wants an economical introductory beginner/intermediate level ski for primarily in track skiing. In track means the skier is going to parks or touring center where there are tracks for people to enjoy.
can I mount a rottefella super telemark binding on this ski?

As a gift for my husband who is 6' 185lbs... what length skis?and other equipment-boots/bindings would you suggest?

BEST ANSWER: Best length for your husband is 196cm also referred to as XL.
the binding that goes with this model is the NNN Basic binding.
Boot choice Rossignol X2 or X5. If you will be skiing regularly and aggressively go with the X5. Either choice is a good boot.
Can these be mounted with BC bindings?

This ski is meant to have a light touring binding such as a NNN Touring Automatic binding or a NNN Basic binding. Not meant for a BC binding.

I weigh 200+ and am 5'7". Would the 186 or 196 be better? I have salomon bindings so cold those be put on?

Yes. These are great entry to mid level XC skis. You will want standard XC boots and bindings with them.
