What boots should I buy with the Rooignol Evo XC 70? And is that a good all around XC ski choice for beginner?
Leah R on Dec 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: THE Evo 70 can be use by all ability levels. It is a primarily off trail ski and works beautifully with the X5 OT FW for women or X5 OT for men.
Does this ski have metal edges?
Michael F on Apr 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Michael,
These do not have metal edges, though for the record, The Rossignol Evos are basically my favorite XC skis.
I purchased a ski package with Rottefella bindings and there was a small metal "tool" in the packaging. I assume it's for adjustments, etc, but I don't have a clue as to how it should be used. Suggestions?
Rod U on Nov 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This "key" can be inserted in the small slots in the binding and leveraged to allow the binding to be moved forward for more grip on the snow or back for more glide. Your skis came mounted in the balanced position for the best all around kick and glide combination. Best to leave the binding in that position in most cases. It can be tricky when working with the "key" and on the Evo 70 not really necessary.
Just enjoy the ski as it is which will be good fun and that is the best advise for this model. Adjustment of bindings is really more applicable to racing skis.
Have a great season.
What type of binding system is recommended for the EVO 7?. I like the X-5 OT
A shopper on Jan 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The bindings already come on the ski as a package and it will interface with the X5 OT boot perfectly. Really fun set up very versatile.
