My new skis arrived very quickly! They are in great shape and I can't wait to ski them! However it is only October and I have at least 2 months until some good New England snow falls. The House threw a bonus winter hat in the box! Super cool. Thanks!

So if the carbon plus is for warmer conditions does it still ski well in firmer snow and when it is colder? Will a intermediate skier feel much of a difference?
Todd T on Aug 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Todd; These plus skis will handle perfectly fine in colder conditions. The issue is that the flex and the grind (bottom of ski) of the plus ski are optimised for slightly warmer conditions. These are very subtle issues and unless you are a very accomplished skier you are not going to notice it - specially because the glide wax you use on any given day is going to be an even bigger issue.
These are very good skis. This is the model new in 2014 - a model which is just now being upgraded in 2018/19 - so they have had very good luck with them. Happy Trails!

What do the numbers in parentheses after the length stand for? Thanks!
Connor M on Jun 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey Connor,
The numbers in the parentheses are the recommended weight of the skier in kilograms. It indicates the relative stiffness of the ski. Heavier skiers would want a stiffer ski. Actually much more important for classic skis than skate - but still relavent.
I bought a pair of these Madshus Skate skis last fall and had very good luck with them! They are a relatively easy and forgiving ski to use. Plus a fantastic price for basically the same ski they are still making in 2018.

Happy Trails,

my teenage son is 6'1' and 140 pounds... eek. should he get a slightly shorter skate ski?
Kristin S on Nov 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey Kristin,
You will want a smaller ski. His weight translates to 63.5kg, so you will want a skate ski that has that weight within its weight/flex range. The Madshus Terrasonic in the 180 (50-65) would be great for him! (
Thank you Brian and Michael for your input as well!
What year is the ski?
