I’m 230 pounds. I’m looking at the 195. Thoughts?
Mark A on Mar 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 230 lbs equals 104kg. you need a ski with a flex for that weight. looking at whats available it looks like the 185 (85-100) is the closest pair close to that flex. getting a ski with a 230 lb flex will be difficult.
Are these cold or warm base skis?
A shopper on Feb 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not sure how helpful this is, but Madshus doesn't seem to specify on their product page. They only say "The P190 base was designed as a race ready base that is versatile in a variety of conditions."
I’m 190 lbs is the # in ( 60-80) the weight in kg the skis is designed for? I want around a 190 cm ski but it seems like the weight is (60-80) is a bit too soft?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the weight is in kg. For skate skis, go for a flex that is 110% or so of body weight. Expert or very strong skiers go up to 120%. For a 190lb skier, I would look for a flex of around 90-95kg. If this model happens to flex at 80kg, it may be okay, but for soft snow conditions. It would be unstable on a medium to firm track. I would suggest going with a stiffer flex.
I'm looking at the terrasonic and the megasonic. The only difference I see is the p190 vs the p170 base. Which base is more durable? Which will hold wax longer? What are the othe differences?
A shopper on Dec 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: From Madshus...

P190 Bases: The P190 base was designed as a race ready base that is versatile in a variety of conditions.

P170 Base: The P170 base was designed to complement our race performance skis, providing the durable and fast bases that are expected with Madshus skis.
