Lives up to its reputation!
I was looking for a versatile all mountain ski not really interested in Salomon.
I demoed a few pairs from a shop and the technician only charged for one pair of skis and allowed me to try three pairs. I tried the XDR 88 186cm first.
In about four or five turns I knew these Salomons XDR's were exactly what I was searching for. It was early morning and I was on groomers first. Fast, powerful, a pleasure to ski on. At the end of my first run I had no desire to even try the other skis I demoed.
These were like extensions of my legs.
Anywhere I wanted to ski- bumps, crud,
groomers, chutes. These skis are solid expert level skis that will not hold you back. They will elevate your skiing ability and make all your buddies second guess their ski equipment.
I ended up skiing a run on each of the other two pair of skis and as I suspected dead, flat, noodles, typical demo garbage. No need to even mention the companies.
Upon returning the skis I made a deal with the shop owner and bought the exact skis I fell in love with. My new Salomon XDR 88 186cm still have butterflies in my stomach. Great job guys!

Great skis, great price, quick delivery.
I am super pleased from the first day on albeit mediocre snow, all groomers. I am a big, fast and aggressive skier and these skis felt way more stable than my previous pair and they were still very nimble in the turns.

I trust they will also do the trick off piste when I need them to as I only have one pair of skis for everything.

It hangs in there for anything on the mountain
I needed a ski for groomer days, and the XDR 88 really delivers. It has great support under foot for pretty hard charging and clean carves. But the biggest reason for 5 stars is the XDR's versatility across the rest of the mountain: bumps, soft snow, wherever. It's just a fun ski.

Great Value
Terrific all mountain ski. I came from 15 year old skis and the difference is amazing. These skis turn well and also cruise nicely on the flats. They’ve proven themselves on the crud in the east and I can’t wait to take them to Utah in March. A great value at $300.

Salomon xdr 88
I’ve been skiing in New Hampshire and they’ve done great on groomers, good in powder, and held their edge on ice. If you’re someone who doesn’t bomb through the ice then it sort of wears away at the top when you’re going over ice. Besides that though I’ve loved the skis
