I am looking for skis and binding for my son age 16 weight 190-200 6-2. He is immediate dare devil skier. I don't want to spend more than $350.00 for ski's and bindings, what do you suggest?
Kari H on Dec 6, 2014

We've definitely got the ski package for your budget that will fit you sons shredding needs. When you say "daredevil" do you mean that he skis fast? Or doe she like to go into the terrain park?

The K2 AMP 80xti Skis are a great frontside carver but this is not within your budget. Here are some options I think your son may enjoy:

The 174cm K2 Amp 72 Skis w/ Marker M2 10 Bindings is a little above your price range but not by much. If your son is looking for a frontside carver this is a great option for your price range.

If he is looking for more of a park/freestyle ski the K2 EXT fits in with your price range when paired with the Marker M 11.0 TC EPS Ski Binding.

179cm K2 EXT
Marker M 11.0 TC EPS
Another binding option.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can make any other recommendations.
Are these skis comparable to the K2 black pearl? What is waist measurement?
TahoeSki on Nov 7, 2014
The measurement for the K2 Amp 80Xti Skis 156cm is tip: 125 waist: 80 tail 109. These K2 skis will be quite different from the Blizzard Black Pearl Skis. The Amp 80 Xti's are a conventional parabolic shaped ski that are meant mostly for on piste speed and carving styles. They are recommended for a more intermediate to advanced skier. Where as the Blizzard Black Pearl skis are an all mountain exploring type ski. They are twin tipped and are focused toward a beginner to intermediate skier. Hope this helps!
