I have these skis and love them for skiing in the New England area, except I'd like to go faster. I'm probably lighter than the average skier and I want to look for a pair close to these (lightweight and grips very well) that would let me ski faster. Any recommendations?

BEST ANSWER: Hey there!

With how busy this time of year is, these are the last pair of Women's Specific Volkl Skis we have left. I can however make some recommendations from some other brands.

The reason you are not going as fast as you'd like is due to the symmetric side cut of the Pearl. This is a park specific ski. I think an all mountain ski with an asymmetrical/directional sidecut will suit you best. This way you can grip and rip, roll the ski over on edge, and carve it up.

Hope this helps. Have a stellar winter!
How much grams does each ski weigh?
Kate Cimor on Nov 29, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I am unsure of the numerical weight. I do know they are light. Volkl's lightweight Sensorwood tech is used in the tip and tail to reduce swing weight and denser ash is used underfoot to provide stability, power, and drive. Great Ski.
