Jeff M: I bought the wakeskate, it is a good board, but not for beginners. If you have wakeboarded before and beyond the basics of wakeboarding, this wakeskate is ok, but it for intermediate. Since the skate has no rails on the bottom and comes with VERY small fins it is a little slippery. I changed out the fins for a one that is a little deeper and longer and it fixed the issue. Once I got the hang of it, it was a lot of fun. My guess is that 144 is also a little big for someone that is 5'9 and 160, especially for your kids and wife who are smaller. I am 6'5 225lbs, I need the extra surface area. I would try something smaller. Nov 21, 2013
