This is Eric, here talking about the new
Hyperlite Era wakeboard. Start it off by talking about the size that it comes in, comes in a 137 for you, little guys and gals, and a 142 for those that got a little bit more weight under the belt.
This wakeboard is built with Monocoque construction, also Biolite core, gives the wakeboard a lot of snap to it and makes it real strong. Talking about the fins, it got fin holes. You can put fins on there. I ride the wakeboard finless, but for those of you who prefer fins, it comes with fins. The bottom of the wakeboard is completely dished out through the center. You got a channel that runs off the modern fins, runs all the way through the wakeboard, gives you lots of stability, kind of keeps you a little stable in rough water and on landings. You got cut rails that come up with the fins to give you a little more spill, little grasp, especially if you're not using the center fin. You can get it loose when you want to get it loose, and locks in when you want it to lock in.
We're going to talk a little bit about the profile of the wakeboard. The whole wakeboard is dished out, it got a concave that runs through the center, pretty much gives you a little bit more toe/heel control, straps your boot on into the wakeboard. You got a step down rail that runs pretty much midway through the wakeboard to the end. When you put the wakeboard on edge, it let it sink a little deeper, makes it a little faster out of the whole. We're also going to talk about the rocker. You got blended 3-stage rocker. You got a long, flat spot and then it really starts hiking up at the end with two other flat spots. That gives you kind of an explosive pop and makes the wakeboard land rail soft but still maintains the fast speed on the water.
